Once again..I am taking the 'WISH Challenge'

I have been away for a very long time but, it's time to get back with the program.

There are so many new faces here :)

Could you please take a few minutes to tell us (me ;) ) a little about yourself and your goals? I would also like to hear from some of the original WISHers. Who is still here?
 
i'm here :) i'm not sure i'm quite 'original' ;) I joined a couplel months after the initial WISH challenge

anyhow (((HUGS))) to my friend Kelsie! i'm soooooo happy you are back with us! i need all the extra support I can get!
 
I've been here just over 4 months. (I think it's tiem to vhange my clippie). I don't have a weight clippie, 'cause I'm movign kind of slow and had a bunch of setbacks last month (too many birthday celebrations). I don't really know my goal. Somewhere between 10 and 20 pounds. I started to watch what I eat and exercise before my cruise in Feb. However, my dad had bypass surgery in March and that opened my eyes. He was healthier than I was! So, I do want to fit comfortably in a size 10 again, but I also really just want to be healthier. That's it without boring you too much. Gppd luck with your re-started journey!
 
Hi Kelsie!!! So good to see you back again.

I have been around since committing to the challenge on 2-18-03. During the last 18 months I have lost 51 pounds (plus 9 pounds pre-WISH), gained back 5.5 while moving from Italy to the US and since lost 2 pounds, putting me at a total (current) WISH loss of 47.5 (56.5 total loss). My current goal is to lose the other 3.5 pounds I gained this summer so that my siggie is current, then my next goal is to lose another 10 pounds on top of that to reach my final goal.

I started WISH back in February 2003. I too have been away but am trying to get back on track. I had lost 50 pounds but gained 20 pounds back, so I've gone back to a 30 pound clippie. I'm doing the 1/2 marathon in January and as a "practise run" walking a 1/2 in Niagara Falls at the end of October.
I just want to say that your WISH board came at a time when I really needed it. It helped me lose those 50 pounds last year and I know that it will help me lose these 20 pounds all over again. I bet you never knew how your idea would inspire so many of us! Thanks and welcome back!:Pinkbounc

New to this board but though it might help out. It's great to read how all of you are doing. You have all put in a great amount of time and have much LESS to show for it. If you know what I mean!!!:Pinkbounc You are my inspiration to stay on track. Keep up the good work. I enjoy reading all the boards.

Hi Kelsie,

Great to see you back! I'm not one of the "originals" but I've been around for a while now. I'm a little over halfway to my goal at this point. I've been kinda stuck for a while now, mostly due to our move from CT to FL :sunny: Now that we're somewhat settled, I'm getting back on track & have gotten into some shorts I haven't been able to wear for 9 years now!
I strongly reccomend the Sept exercise challenge! It's a great motivator to get you moving, & that gets your metabolism going! At any rate, it's great to see you again! :wave2:

Actually was thinking about you the other day, we hadn't heard from you in awhile - glad you're back. So glad to hear that you are you "dusting" off the wagon and jumping back on!

Well, I am still plugging along - I'm not sure I am "original" either but have been hanging on WISH a long time (or at least it seems like a long time I have been trying to lose all this extra weight) ;) For the newbies reading this I am oHmom's (Molli) Mom. We still have our buddy group going to encourage one another too.

HOORAY KELSIE IS BACK - you always kept me smiling :teeth: Are you still in touch with John - seems like I read that the "lovebug" may have stricken him - just wondering

Hi Kelsie :wave2: I started WISH Aug. 2003, and I'm hoping to get my 130 loss clippie when I WI tomorrow. I'm hoping to get to goal sometime this year! :rolleyes: but my weight loss has really slowed down. I love WISH and I honestly don't think that I would have got as far as I have if it hadn't been for the great support and encouragement that I have received on this board. So thank you and welcome back! :hyper:
 
Hi Kelsie & welcome back to the WISH...

I've been WISHing for 80-something days. I'm doing WW and have trying to exercise to reach my goals (lose 20 pounds and/or 2 sizes and to be a healthier fit mom to my kids). I started the WISH exercise challenge last month (1000 minutes or more of exercise). Quite a few members have joined this month's challenge and we're exercising the minutes away.

I really enjoy the wish boards and the wish journals. I've made quite a few friends here, people I probably wouldn't have gotten to know well because I'm more of a lurker than a poster (well at least on the other forums). There's quite a few knowledgeable people here who are always willing to help out when I have a question and there many more people who post positive support and good vibes.
 
Hey Kelsie- Glad to see you posting again. I too am just coming back after making it to GOAl and falling off the wagon a bit. Today is day 4 back OP for me.

I hope things are going well for you with getting back with the program. Looking forward to your supportive posts again!
 
Hi Kelsie. I've been with wish again since January of this year. I'm doing SBD and I workout like crazy. I love coming here and reading the success stories and those words of encouragement. The journals are a great read, and the receipe index is a great source of help.

I hope to see more posts from you and hope that you make it to whatever goal you are trying to acheive
