I’m starting to plan out what to pack for our Western Caribbean cruise from Galveston, leaving in two weeks. I expect it to be chilly that day, so I’m wearing jeans. I can check the weather for our two ports of call, but what about the days at sea, sailing across the Gulf? Will it be warm enough on the ship for capris or shorts?

It could be cold on the days to/from Galveston. Once near or in the other ports, it could be warmer.

I'd say go for the capris or shorts during those days. Just make sure to bring a light jacket or sweater in case it gets a bit chilly in the evening. 🚢

Bring the jeans if you think YOU might be cold. It’s possible the air conditioning inside the ship may be older than the outside. I wore my polar fleece jacket everyday during a Southern Caribbean cruise while onboard. Temp comfort is such an individual thing.

But don’t forget the shorts, either. ☺️

Lo, I’ll be wearing jeans on embarkation day because we’ll be driving from north of Houston to Galveston for embarkation, and I expect it to be in the 50s! I’m just hoping I won’t have to wear jeans for the entire cruise! :cutie:
