For onboard activities with limited space like the wine tastings, mixology classes, cooking classes, etc. when and how do we sign up? It seems like that info is in the Navigators, but we won't get those until the night before, correct? I thought guests had to book these earlier to ensure a spot.

Thanks in advance! I don't want to miss out!

You can go to guest services the first night and sign up for any that are scheduled throughout the week... They have the entire listing of what tastings will occur during the entire cruise.

I'm curious about this as well. You "can" sign up the first night or "you better or no tasting for you"?

Granted I have only been on 2 cruises, a 10 day and a 14 day, but our experiences were we had no problem signing up the day prior. I envision on the shorter cruises there may be more demand. I would just ask Guest Services the first night what tastings will occur over your cruise and ask how many slots are available.

There are some tastings that book quickly (like mixology is limited to 10 spots, since the guests themselves mix the drinks), others do not so it's possible to still get a ticket right before the class. How can you tell on your cruise?? No way to know. So if it is important to you, you can head to Guest Services (it's always our first stop once onboard). The tastings are in their system as soon as you get onboard and they can book you.

If you wait and get a cruise navigator (can't remember if we got them on the Dream), they do list the tastings that they will be having throughout the cruise. So you can look over what's offered then go to Guest Services to book. Or you can wait until you get the personal navigator (not all of them are listed in the grid, so don't just look at that) and see what time things are being offered and hope there are still spots remaining. It's always worth asking because each cruise is different and there may be big crowds to do one of the tastings or there may be next to noone.

There is no sign up for the "cooking classes" which are called "The Art of Entertainment." You just go to Studio Sea at the appointed time.

For the tastings, go to Guest Services at any time to sign up.

We did a Mohito tasting - $15 with 5 diff drinks. Yum!
Signed up at Guset Services on day of. About 20 ppl in group

On our cruise someone in our DIS group got a bunch of us together, then contacted DCL and set up a private Mojito and Mixology. THat was really cool.

Sorry to hijack but have one quick question? Does everyone have to be there at guest services to book it or can 1 person book other people in other cabins?

As others have said, go to Guest Services once onboard. With our mixology, we had the max of 10, though I think one couple signed up the day of. It's maxed at 10 because you sit around a bar where there is only room for that number plus, as a pp said, you actually make the drinks (one couple for each of five drinks). Lots of fun! :thumbsup2

Only one person needs to go to Guest Services to sign up.

You can't book any of the tastings in advance. Even at concierge level, we couldnt' book until we boarded. We did 3 of them on the last cruise and I don't remember anyone saying that they couldn't get into one they wanted to.
