Onboard 10% Discount Question....

We are sailing on the Wonder in December and we are thinking about booking the 7 night cruise for spring break in 2006 (DH isn't convinced yet, but I am working on him).

The problem is that I can only guess when the dates of spring break will be in 2006. They won't decide the actual dates until around February.

So if I book the week I think the cruise will be can get the10% off and the $200 onboard credit, can I switch dates and still get the discount and onboard credit if they pick another week for spring break?

They were doing something like that this past month for people wanting to book 2006 dates but they were not released yet. I don't know if that was something special they did just so people could book 2006 cruises, or if they allow you to do that on any cruises.

Thanks for your help! I have to reassure DH that we can get the discount before he will agree to book onboard!

Yes DJ, you can do that. In fact I just changed a land/sea combo to a 7 day and was able to keep the $200 on board credit and they then added the 10% discount.

By the way it was nice to meet you. DH and I were the ones who said "hello" as you and your family were leaving the DIS meet. We were late because our flight was delayed.

Hi Donna!
I remember! I hope you enjoyed the cruise. I was seasick on Thursday, but other than that we loved it.

Thanks for the information! Now maybe I can convince DH to rebook in December! I really wish the schools would just come up with a system of picking spring break and just go with that every year!

I am SO excited to learn I can switch my date if I need to! You made my day!!!!

I just talked to DH and he said that since we can switch dates we can book another 7 night once we are onboard in December!

Thank You Thank You Thank You, we are dancing here!

OMT, if you book onboard and assign your ressie to a TA such as All Seasons, the TA will likely give you an additional stateroom credit that also will float with your rescheduled cruise.

Thanks, DisneyBill!

I have been using DU and I think they give a rebate based on the amount of your cruise. Every little bit helps!

D-

Another cruise already????? We haven't even gone to the Dec. one!!! Glad DH is open to another tho. You must have a good time despite the weather!

Well we are looking at 2006 spring break, so we are skipping 2005 (DH says the Dec. one counts as our 2005 cruise).

I know the 2006 prices won't get any lower and I am hoping that don't start going up before our December cruise so I can get the best price possible (we are having sticker shock looking at prices for when the girls will be out of school, right now the spring break week doesn't look too bad). The girls will still be 12 at this time, so we can get them on with the child's rate too.

Just trying to lock in the best deal possible!

Just a note about "changing to a TA like allseas. " We used them
last year and got a great rate. While onboard we rebooked and
then I moved the reservation to allseas . However allseas said I
could not have the lower price they had listed for that trip and still keep my onboard $200. credit. So there was no real advantage to switching, still have the same price as from Disney
just with a different travel company. I am not sure how DU handles this, if they still give you the their rebate plus your
on board stateroom credit but it would be worth checking out.
