??? On "Waitlisting"...

Can you get on a wait list if your points are already reserved for an upcoming vacation? And if the waitlist comes thru, can you cancel your current reservation without penalty? We are staying at BLT 6/6-6/20 and added on a day at AKV Jambo just to see another DVC property, but then that had me thinking "hey, let's split the Vacay up and stay at a week at both!" Not all the dates I want are avail at AKV so that brings me to the waitlist question. Thanks in advance for helping this DVC newbie!

I just went through the process on-line and you can cancel an existing reservation if the wait list comes through. You have to check off yes cancel and select the dates you want and add the wait list. I'm sure you could do the same with a phone call.....

I'd call MS to double check. With a split stay, I'd be paranoid that they'd cancel ALL of my BLT dates since its one reservation instead of just droping the overlapping dates at the end of your BLT reservation. Maybe MS can split them via the call and give you two seperate reservation conformation numbers that way you can be certain the first half won't get canceled.
