On Trip Now- Not a TR, Just Some Thoughts, Any Q's?

so on tuesday, did you enter by rope drop or thru the gate at the opening hour?

were you in the back of the pack in the morning? Photos without people is really hard if you are right at the rope or do folks really disappear into the lands. All of my ghosttown photos are from the era of gate trickle at opening and now during the first weeks of December we find it hard to snap that photo during MM without the folks in the background.

On Tues, we were at CA, and we were Soooooo late that morning! We got there about 20-30 min before rope drop, and there was already a huge crowd. Everyone ran for Cars Land (of course) and it was a mess.

On Saturday the 20th, we were at DL an hour before rope drop. Front of the line, headed straight for main street. It was a non-passholder day, so really the crowd was very very thin that morning. Everyone made bee lines for rides, and we just enjoyed a fairly empty Main Street. Took pictures of our kids in front of the man and the mouse, the castle, the wishing well, etc. We had to wait on one lady who was trying unsuccessfully to take a selfie in front of the Walt and Mickey statue, but she was the only one who got there before us. No one is in our pictures except for our family. It was a VERY thin morning.

thank you.....I have been reading here all week that Saturday and Sunday mornings are having major pay-offs....so now I am beginning to rethink the other Saturday morning over the other T days. Good job with the photo, I just so eager to rider Peter Pan and snow white fives times in a row, that I skip the photos!!

Thank you for all the Ridemax tips! I am still struggling a bit with the program (although it is getting a bit better). I am still getting a little frustrated with it but am doing my best to work with it. I leave in 2 weeks so i still have a little time to play and see if it can generate plans that look good to me.

Thank you for your feedback! The more I read and poke around on RideMax the more I look forward to using it!

@Bubblegum1286 - when you say you got there before rope drop does that mean you weren't using any early access in the parks? I'm praying our early access will save us while we're there for the 60th.

On Sat the 20th, we did use the early hour. The park opened at 8, but we had the extra magic hour at 7, so we were there at 6:30. On Tuesday, we were at CA 30 minutes before rope drop, and it was too late. The crowd was HUGE. Should've gotten there more like 50 minutes before rope drop. And then on Wednesday, we went back to DL and were there 30 before rope drop (no extra hour) and the crowds weren't terrible. We hit Tomorrowland first that morning, and that's the thinnest part of the park first thing in the morning since everyone else hits Fantasyland and Adventureland first.

........I liked the insight that Tomorrowland was the thinnest of the three lands.....because I tell everyone, that once you walk past Indy fastpass ROA clears out magically thinnnnn,my second best experience after peter pan, NOS all to myself and a CM at haunted Mansion telling me it is closed, no matter, on my way to ride Splash......because everyone is in tomorrowland. Fantasyland is always heavy because of the limited use in the other lands by children and traditional "first ride"

Tomorrowland was SO thin that morning! We did Nemo, rode Star Tours and then grabbed FPs for later that morning to ride it again, grabbed Space Mountain FPs, rode Buzz, rode the Astro Orbiter.... It was so quiet. I loved it.

Thank you....I will start spreading the news ... and be Frank with everyone .....that Tomorrowland is the empty place to be. On Wednesdays I usually stay in Fantasyland for about 45 mins and knock out all the rides and ride in the same vehicle snow white over and over and over and and I am always so shocked when i round the ROA corner that it is empty.
