Hi Wilderness,
I think you should encourage all of these people who are coming to you and validating your experience to voice their concerns to the principal as well. Let her be bombarded by the parents . As for those thinking you aren't warranted in your actions, well clearly they are idiots. There are some adults who seem to think that the feelings of children aren't as important as those of adults. Personally, I think ALL people are deserving of basic respect and decency -- ESPECIALLY our children.

If your kids are anything like mine, they love having you come in to the school to volunteer, so keep doing it! Don't let administration or this kook rob your kids of that!! They have done enough negative things to you and your family, don't let them get anything else. They would love to have you not show up and then act like all is wonderful. Keep going, watching out for your kids until it gets resolved one way or another!

Dear Wilderness, please take it easy with that wrist! Would an ace bandage help to keep it stable while you type or do other "manual" stuff?

Your weekend away sounded so fun! It's amazing how we can really laugh and unwind in the company of other women. Some of the women in my church started a ladies' game night once a month. When my schedule allows me to attend, my cheeks hurt by the time its over from all the laughing!

Good job on exploring all the schooling options! There are always online schools, where your kids just log in for their classes. Isn't technology grand??
