on the plane

A couple magazines so I can just toss them when I'm done with them. My laptop. And sometimes I just nap.

DH and I bring one laptop usually, so we'll bring along a DVD and a headphone splicer so we can both listen.

I love seatguru.com, that way we can know in advance which seats have power outlets for plugging in our laptop.

Yhea, but stupid NWA, dosen't have any outlets on Domestic Flights :confused3

I heaRD Air Tran has XM Radio on thier flights, I am planning on taking a set of cheap headphones for every one in my party.

Does any body know if AirTran has all 150 channels or just an abbreviated list?

We are taking Breakfast ( our flight leaves at 7:00 a.m.), the portable DVD player for our daughter and a new Princess Polly Pocket set (just in case the movie doesn't quite do it), the squishy neck pillow for my hubby so he can nap, and I am taking the new Harry Potter book. I have purposely held off buying it so I will have something to keep my mind off of the flight. Hopefully this will be enough to occupy the 2 1/2 hour flight to MCO. We usually drive, so I can't imagine we will have a hard time occupying our daughter for the relatively short flight, as compared to the 20 + hour drive.

I listen to books on tape. Love them. Just put on the head phones, lean back in my seat, close my eyes, and get lost in the story. I also use them during my drive to and from work but I keep my eyes open. :rotfl2:

I flew Air Tran in March and May, none of the planes had XM Radio. I don't think they have installed it on all the planes yet.

I usually bring my mp3 player.

DH and kids usually…

Seriously, good book that I don’t mind parting with in the event it gets lost, ripped etc, MP3 player, pick up some food for the flight on my way to the airport and nice cup of latte!!! Kids usually bring their games, mp3 players, books, etc, DH on the other hand only brings himself and usually tries to catch up on sleep.

I guess it's because I don't fly too often, but I sit in a window seat and look outside at the clouds and scenery. It's so beautiful to me.

A snack, water (even though I tend to buy Songs breakfast offerings). To do...well, I like to amuse myself with Song's trivia contests. Also dd takes a book and watched one of the movie offerings. Dh flicks back and forth between news channels and flight tracking!!!

I find that doing crossword puzzles really makes the trip go by fast for me. It's also a good distraction: I don't particularly like to fly.

I have some extremely boring reading that I need to do for a class that I am taking. The plane will be the perfect place to read, I can't get up and walk away, turn on the tv, call a friend...

I also bring water and snacks.

I take a book to read but never get to actually read it, husband is worse then a kid, constantly bugging me! I think he is so excited about going on vacation that he just can't help himself.
