On the hunt for the Ebates/Orbitz deal

I've been stalking Ebates every since I found the old threads about how you could get 20% off of entertainment tix (disney and uni) last year. I check this board each day (or try to) and also go to Ebates but I'm paranoid that if the deal comes up again I'll miss it.

Where else would you suggest I stalk? Is there any site that will notify you when things like that pop up?

Have you joined Ebates and registered for their daily emails? That's how I heard about the 20% earlier this year. If you do that then they will send you a daily email of the current week's deals. There is no obligation to buy anything if you sign up now, plus you get a $5 sign-up bonus.

I discovered the deal on www.slickdeals.net. You can register for an account and setup email alerts for all kinds of keywords.

I searched through slickdeals posts a while back, and it looks like the Ebates cashback offer on Orbitz activities ran in 10/2012, 2/2013, and 2/2014. The 2/2014 deal was the best of these because you also got 5 days for the price of 3, and it was right before a Disney price increase.

I took advantage of both the 20% off tickets and the $60 Disney room booking bonus on Orbit through Ebates. Book to separate Disney rooms and got a total of $120 in Orbits bucks to spend on a future hotel booking.

The 6.5% eBates cash back for Orbitz only applies to cruise reservations.

Hotel reservations get 3% back. You will get that even if you use an Orbitz discount code but not if you use one from another website (like a code you may have gotten from retailmenot for Orbitz).

Thanks! The Discover 5% CB for Orbitz may be a good option then for those who have a card. As long as their isn't an exclusion issue with that 20% code floating around...

Finally took advantage of this deal and booked WL CL for the first week in March! Of course I misplaced and had to order a new Discover card so I didn't get 5% cashback, but with Befrugal (2%), Chase Freedom (1%), and Orbucks I did OK.

This ended up better than my previous 35% AP discount coupled with discounted Disney gift cards. Thanks for posting!!
