On site rates ever come down?

I booked a room at the Hard Rock for one night in April, granted its Easter Weekend but the rate is unbelievable.....anyone ever book at a rate then have the rates come down? Just curious.....

yes, just keep checking back. We were thinking about going last June. When we first started checking the rates in Feb we couldn't believe how expensive they were, but closer to the trip they had gone down almost $100 a night.

Yes.. as other poster said, keep checking & if they do call them....last year I had 3 nights booked for the week before Christmas at the HRH with an AP rate. They came out with the promo..stay 4 nights & pay for 3, plus free hotel parking. I called them, switched to the RPR added 2 nights to make a total of 5. I paid for 4, got one free & by switching resorts as I did, I felt as if I got the 5th free...(difference in HRH & RPR for 3 nights helped me pay for the 5th night).
