On site hotels..late checkout?

Does anyone know if a later checkout is available on request (looks like it is 11) even an hour would be good.

You can always request it. We have had good luck staying the additional hour at the onsite hotels but not when staying DVC.

Rarely is granted...but you may get the one hour...but they will not even tell you if it is an option or not until the morning of your departure.

Reminder that you can check out and store your bags at the bell desk and still keep your car in parking for the remainder of the day at no charge. You just need to be outta the room by checkout, not off property.

My husband has requested late checkout and been told it's not an option - that was at Paradise Pier and also at Grand Californian.

I guess we got lucky in Dec we got a late 12pm checkout at PPH. It never hurts to ask, but have a backup plan just in case.

It really depends on how booked they are for the next day, in general the answer will be no because they are almost always sold out, but you can ask. Also, at the Grand Californian, if you have items that need refrigeration, they will be refrigerated when left with bell services, not sure about at the other hotels.

We have stayed at the DLH the last few summers. Always asked about late checkout, they always said no. We were there with friends last week. They were obviously not full (super easy to get a chair by the pool in the shade all day long). Our friends got a 1pm late check out. The next day we got a noon late checkout. They asked both rooms if we wanted to stay for $250 for an extra night also - usually it's "thanks for staying - now please get out" So, if they can help you out they will!

Once we got a noon check-out from DLH, at GCH it's always been 11am. BUT... our last GCH trip we checked out by 11am but we didn't leave DLR until 11pm! You can check your bags with bell services and leave your car parked and leave whenever you're ready to that day/night if you want. GCH lobby was basically deserted when we left it was so late. No, we didn't use the pool or other hotel amenities so yes, we had to check out by 11am, but we spent the rest of the day and night in the parks and had a wonderful time!

If and when the DLR hotels are not full are usually far n' few between BUT how lucky when late check out can be granted!!

They only thing DVC can never get....
Although I am the kind of person to hang around til the LAST MINUTE!!! 11:00AM & OUT THE DOOR!!
Maybe that's why most rooms are NOT ready until 3pm !!
