On My First Solo Trip

On my last solo trip, while walking around Epcot, a ECV pulled up beside me and the driver, an elderly man (maybe 80) started talking to me and tried to pick me up! And I was wearing a "real" wedding ring.--Like Gillian said--you might attract some!

When I was at Epcot a few years with my mother - this man tried several times to pick me up I don't know why but the men at Epcot need to have more manners. finally a CM saw what was happening and got the man to leave us alone. It was very embarrassing for me, but the Cm was great.

I was walking toward France when I had my "encounter." Paris IS supposed to be a very romantic city--perhaps Disney, with the recreation of the Eiffel Tower, etc., has captured part of that essence, and these men are just reacting to it!

Awww Gee, I've had 3 solo trips, and no one ever tried to
pick me up ! Perhaps they thought I was ugly.
It must have been my wedding band that scared them away !

I think that same gentleman tried to pick me up while I was listening to Off Kilter! I came back to Epcot months later and I saw him out of the corner of my eye. He was coming up fast in Italy in that ECV and I started walking really fast and finally lost him somewhere around China. I haven't seen him around in a while.

Holy cow - what are the odds? That same old man in the electric scooter tried to pick me up last month. LOL - I couldn't believe it, and it's so funny to hear of his other attempts!

I have had a CM in a Store try and PICK ME UP!! This was my last trip in Feb. thank goodness I had sense enough to not tell him Where I was staying, and that I was ALONE!

Does "scooterman" seem well heeled? If so, perhaps I will be nice to him and see if he will help pay for some of my trip. A sugar daddy might not be such a bad thing to have at WDW. If not, fuhgeddaboutit!

I don't know if this counts, but I met two two very nice men at dinner one night. They bought me a drink! Of course I think they thought of me as their granddaughter, but we had a great time!

I only wear a fake engagement ring around the International Gateway area, because there has been a security CM trying to pick me up that works in that area. No thanks! So, as soon as I'm through IG, I put the ring in my pocket. So far it's worked!
