ok here is the deal - I signed up for a month ! I e-mailed someone in a neighboring town and he sounds really nice altho I have a friend who does this all the time and said she went out with him once after chatting for a few weeks then he blew her off. I asked him about it and he said she was too forward ( she is like that even with friends ) and he didn't blow her off she wouldn't answer back and he gave up on the whole thing with her. she say he is just a player - i don't know if this is bitterness talking or truth and now I am left wondering -- is he really nice as he seems or not ... maybe I am just too old for this (33) Michelle

If you like him then I would keep talking to him just keep your eyes open. Not all people make a good match--maybe they didnt but you and he will. Just take it slow and easy. Good luck!

I wouldn't worry what your friend thinks, sounds like sour grapes. They obviously weren't a good match, that doesn't mean he's a rotten guy.

He was very honest in what he told me - of course they each had different view but the storys matched.
I also thought that she was a bit miffed that he wanted something slower and her faster .
I will just see what happens I guess and much as i hate to say it be a bit guarded..
thanks just wanted to make sure that I was doing this dating thing right since I haven't dated since I was 15 LOL!!
Makes me feel much better that others see it the way I did.. Michelle

It sounds like for whatever reason, he and she weren't a good match, and it didn't work out. It also sounds like your friend is a tad bit immature, if she's close to your age(33). By age 33, a woman should be able to handle mild rejection(and after only a date or two, it IS mild rejection...nothing more!)without getting all sour and bitter.

Take it slow woth the guy, enjoy him as a friend, see where it leads, and be a bit more mature than your friend sounds. I'd watch her though, she may try to stir up trouble by talking him down!

yep she has already sent me a few notes asking when the hot date is ?? ( ok so I have only been chatting with him 3 days!!!! what's the rush ) and asking if he told me this or that .. its like YIKES , I didn't say I was marring the guy -- i am just getting to know him .. I guess she must think that you have to tell everything right in the first conversation even if you are not asked .. Heck he doesn't even know my last name, where I live or my phone number ( and won't for a while more ! )
its getting a bit out of hand I think. I only told her because I know she has been doing this kind of think for over a year and wanted to know if i was doing it right and boy did open a can of worms!!!
