Hi I am trying to do online check in and keep getting this message:
We were unable to process your reservation; please try again or contact The Disney Reservation Center at (407) 939-7675. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to dial this number.

I did just call can confirm and the reservations seem fine. any thoughts??

I've been trying to do this for a week and have gotten the same "error message". I guess I'll just check-in the old fashion way when I get there. I think the website is being updated currently and that may have something to do with it. I will also call just to confirm and leave it at that. It's frustrating though, right? UGH! :thumbsup2

You know, I realize there are people who love the on-line check-in and it's worked very well for them. But I tried it a few weeks ago and I don't think it's for me.

First off it didn't save me time. Secondly I had made one request for this trip because my arthritis was kicking my butt and that was "close to elevator". Well while it was noted on the "folder" I got, the CM assigning the room paid no attention to it. I got the very last room available on the floor and the farthest from the elevator. Why didn't I change?? Because I didn't get my room until 4PM , I was tired and I had dinner reservations over at DTD with a friend at 6PM. I would like to think that if I had done regular check-in I would not have received that particular room. But who knows??:confused3

But I managed to use the stairs across from my room to get to the pool and I was only on the 2nd floor. And dispite that long walk each and everyday I had a FANTASTIC time!!!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hey there when do you leave??? Can I come with you??? Please; pretty please???:laughing:

Curious, which resort? I have the worse luck at BWV when it comes to request. Whether I do online or in person, I've never gotten anything I've requested there.

for the OP: I had trouble last week using the online checkin and when it kicked me back it appeared my address needed tweaking. I took the zip code out and put it back and added four zeros to the end and it took it. Others reported problems with the phone number and today I read it was some spaces causing the problem. You could try redoing the entire address to see if it helps. While doing online checkin doesn't save me any time, the last 9 out of 10 checkins my room was ready when I arrived, so I'll do the online checkin if it increases the possibility of getting my room early. The last 3 times my room was ready at 8:30AM. With 3 little girls with us starting on Sunday 10/31 @ BLT, then again checking in at BCV on 11/7, I'll give it a shot again.

LOL...it was the Boardwalk!! And that's another thing....I had heard that using the on-line check-in "usually" puts you in your room early epecially if you're an early arrival. Not me...:(

However, I've had very good luck there in the past with requests but we're talking about things like specific rooms. :thumbsup2 I've never in all the years going there asked for "close to elevator" except this one time! ;)

That is funny. I'm convinced that the assigner looks at my request and purposely gives me the complete opposite of what I ask for. The worse one I got was a couple of years ago I requested to be close to my DD and family when they arrived later than us. I even went to the desk several days earlier to remind them. Well we were the last room near jellyrolls and my DD was the last room near the tennis court! We could not have been any further away. We just stopped making requests here. (I actually thought my request were simply like ground floor, or dedicated room -- never asked for near the elevator because I knew I would never get that one.) Yes, I own at BWV and find myself there at least 2 of my trips a year even though the room assigner is evil.

Well, at least I know that I am not alone! We arrive on the 4th but it will be late, our plane lands at 8:45pm so I was just hoping to save a little time because after all the kids will be very anxious to get to sleep!:rotfl:

I had problems checking in on line before arriving. See if your zip code has the usual 5 numbers plus the additional four right after it. If it does, Edit your address and remove the last four numbers. Once I did this, it worked for me.

We checked in at 12:30 and our room was ready. We did not have to wait in line. They moved us over to a CM at the counter who had our folder waiting for us.

Just wanted to mention that I just finished doing the online checkin for myself and for my DD & family arriving on Nov. 7th. I had to redo myzip code again and add the 0000 and didn't have any problem with my DD's reservation. However, when logging in for my DD, my last name defaulted to her reservation and I just deleted it and put hers in and it went right through.

I also tried that and it still did not work. I tried just removing the last 4 digits if our zip and I tried replacing it with 0000:confused3 and no luck! Oh well, we are still going to Disney next week no matter what!:thumbsup2

I'm having trouble checking in online today also. It keeps telling me I haven't filled in the yellow areas properly, but I HAVE -- REALLY! I tried changing the zip code back and forth several times, with and without the four extra zeroes. It also keeps wiping out the credit card info each time, which is driving me bananas. Any advice?

Another question -- for some reason my children's ages are listed as 10 and 3, when they are actually 11 and 9! I don't know HOW that happened, but do the ages matter? Our reservation is room only, so the ages don't affect our tickets or meal plan. So do the ages on a room only reservation affect anything else?

Thanks in advance!:)

Look at the address part and see if there is anything with tiny red writing above it. That is the indicator that there is something wrong. I had to take out my entire address once and retype it in. Someone posted that there are some extra blank spaces after one of their address lines. Once they got rid of the spaces it worked. (This is like a Disney mystery and we have to work so hard to solve it!)

When you took out the last four, it was the +4 correct? You did just do 20000. My zip is 25414, so I added 254140000 and that made it work. Some folks have added the actual correct 4 and it has worked. My correct one would be 254145063, but that didn't work. (no spaces or dashes)

Also when I originally started I went to delete my town and there were a ton of spaces at the end of the entry. I reentered it correctly.

Hope some of this helps someone get in. I did TWO check-ins this morning successfully. Good luck.

Thanks for the info, Glad it worked for you. Unfortunately I just tried it again and it still didn't work. I deleted the last 4 of my zip, no luck. Deleted, retyped and added 0000, no luck. I even tried deleting th entire address and retyping...no luck. As a last resort I tried changing my town which can be spelled two ways...Tyngsborough or Tyngsboro and neither of those worked either. Oh well:confused3
Also, a pop-up came on the screen to ask a vacation specialist a question and there response was "there are problems due to the system upgrade and to keep on trying, or check in upon arrival" haha!! I wanted to say, thanks for your help:) I never would have thought of that!:) I am sure they are getting many frustrated calls from vactioners in a panic about reservations and or ADRs these days!

Sorry those didn't work. One last thought. Last week I printed my confirmation numbers (I have alot) and this morning I noticed all of my resort confirmation numbers are now different. So take a look at your confirmation number on the web and see if it's now different than what's on your confirmation sheet that you got when making your reservation. When you go to do online checkin, see if the confirmation number is the new one or the old one. I often will go on the DVC website and print my confirmation numbers when I have a change. I got a waitlist last week so printed it. This morning, out of the blue, I was writing down my confirmation number on a sheet so that I could make my May ADRs and noticed it was different. Then I compared them all and everyone of them (8 of them) were different from my list last week.

(Don't you just hate upgrades?) I'm not even thinking of my ADRs as they are all gone from the website now and I just hope they're there next week when we get there.

I have tried NUMEROUS times over the last two days, changing every possible thing I could possibly change. I called MS, and she just gave the standard Disney answer of "We are facing some challenges with the new upgrades" -- didn't offer any solution other than check in when you get there.

Did you ever notice that CMs never ever use the word "problem"; its always "challenge." We noticed that on the Disney Cruise a couple years ago. It's such a positive spin. :)

. . . and this is why I want to check in NOW, not when we are all anxiously waiting to dump our stuff in our ROOM, not with a bellman, so we can charge over to Epcot and slurp down cheese soup at the Canadian F & W booth. Ugh!!!

This could be to blame! The reservation numbers are different. I tried to
Change it to match the original number but that would not work either!:headache:

But the funny part is that today is 10 days from the second part of our split stay so I was able to complete online Check in for BLT:thumbsup2. I had to delete the last four of our zip but it did work! Still no luck for the first reservation at AKV but at least now I know it is not something I am doing wrong! Craziness!!

Today I tried the second half of our split stay -- but no luck still. When the online chat help popped up, I explained I've been trying for three days to check in, and this was the response:

Good morning! I will be happy to help you with some information on that! At this time, our Online check in system is not available due to system enhancement work being performed. We do not have an estimated completion date for the work. You are welcome to check back or just check in at the Front Desk when you arrive.

This work was supposedly started on October 20 -- 10 days ago!
So am I right that we cannot check in by phone? I don't understand why. Waiting until we get there presents two problems -- definitely not having your room ready early (I've heard that they are often ready for you if you write down an early arrival time), and also waiting in those horribly long lines when you are SO anxious to get to the park. If we wait until after the park day, then you open a whole new set of problems -- waiting in those horribly long lines when you have very tired children (and parents!) and getting the worst possible room because all the good rooms have been "swapped" into throughout the day by the early arrivers. :headache:

This is such a FRUSTRATING way to start our magical vacation!
