I have had several people tell me to do the ONLINE check in. I am about to but wanted to know does it make it faster and quicker to check-in? I will still need my room keys and such since we have a package and I dont have that right now. Do any of you who go all the time do this? Thoughts?:confused3

Also I know others have said to do Ground floor and Near Transporation- should I request this?

we did online checkin last fall and it made for very fast checkin. they had our "packet" of stuff ready to go! At Pop they had a seperate line for people who had already checked in online. It just takes a minute to do ahead of time so its worth it either way! Also about the room location....I think this has to do with whether you have chosen a standard or a preffered room at a value I believe but I could be wrong. Have fun!!!!!!!

We also did did online check-in for Pop in the fall. I thought it was actually SLOWER than regular check-in. The line was way longer for online check-in and they didn't have our packet ready or anything. Maybe we just hit it on a SLOW day.

This was true at CSR both this past Sept and again when we were there in Dec. Both times the lines for on line check in were longer than for regular check in. I didn't use in Sept, but did in Dec. I don't think I'll be using it again.

Well considering this is some states SPRING BREAK I think it might be more crowed with online check then! I think I will just not do online check in and see how that goes.

We did online check-in for our recent visit down with DVC and found it worth it. Yes you still need to go to the counter to get your stuff, but I've found in the past that I was at the check-in counter for a good 20 minutes getting all our stuff prepared, but this took a couple of minutes as our stuff was all pre-prepared.

We did online checkin (SSR) and still got the wrong keys/packet, so we had to wait for someone to run back and sort that out. (Bell services was at least able to let us in after confirming it was the correct room.)

I think the issue with online checkin might come if you have special requests or were sort of kind of hoping for an upgrade. (We had booked two connecting rooms elsewhere and got upgraded to SSR with 2 studios. We were sort of kind of hoping to be upgraded to a 2BR, or at least to get connecting rooms, which I guess is a 2BR at SSR. It didn't happen. I don't know if that can be blamed on online checkin at all.)

We used online check in last year and will use it again this year. We stayed at Pop and they had everything ready and waiting for us when we arrived. I do believe there is a place in there for room requests but it's been awhile so I'm not 100% sure of that...hopefully someone can confirm whether or not room/area requests are possible during online check in.

I think they are available online, but I guess it's just more of a hassle and you hold up the line if everything's not right or what you asked for and you need to have it changed. I just have a gut feeling that there's more flexibility if you wait and check in when you get there.

Also, we stayed Tuesday to Tuesday and it wasn't crowded at all. We walked right up to the desk. If you have a Saturday arrival, your experience might be different.

I think it is worth it. I also think they assign the upgrades before check-in, so I don't know if that would affect a potential upgrade.

There were only two of us in the online check in line and one person working that line. I watched people in the regular line going up, getting served and leaving while I stood there, still waiting. The one CM working that line walked away and I was now in the front of the line and no one was there to help :confused3 I went over to the regular check in line and was finally helped. I think I'll skip it next time.

Over the internet, you can't work the puppy dog eyes of the grandchildren who had hoped to have a room connecting to the grandparents... :rolleyes1

We did it last August. We stayed at CB, and it was super quick. The only thing I didn't like, is that I always try to negotiate a close to the main center room, without being preferred. So there really wasn't an option that time because they already had our room picked, assigned, and keys ready. It was quick though!! ;)
