For our next trip, I want to print our boarding pass before we leave. If I make each reservation separately, will I be able to do this? 2 of our reservations will be free tickets and one is using a bunch of credits we have.

Our DD will now be over 5 for our next trip and we can't pre-board anymore.

You can now print boarding passes for reservations with multiple names

If you have separate reservations, you just have to enter each confirmation number. I did this before it was possible to get multiple boarding passes on one confirmation number.
