On hold w/ AirTran right now...Need help ASAP

I was in the booking process and got to the confirmation page...it says the reservation is not complete...checked the prices again in another browser and the trip down to MCO went up!! I've been oh hold for 41 MIN with NO ANSWER!! What do I do? If I start the booking process all over will I be charged twice? HELP!

I would wait, I'm on hold with Airtran too, they completely messed up our flights to and from Orlando. I'm really tempted to cancel and book with Southwest out of an airport 3 hours away.

Did you get a confirmation email/itinerary from them?? If not, it's possible that by the time you looked at the flight and the time you went to buy the flight the price changed. Airlines have only so many flights available in each fare class and when they are sold they move up to the next fare class which is usually higher. It could mean that someone beat you to the cheaper fare

ok, so I got through and she told me I have to go through the whole process again...not surprised there. I gave her a piece of my mind and hung up!

I've had the same thing happen to me when booking on the Airtran website. It just seemed to get stuck when I was 99% complete. I too had to start all over again.. very frustrating!

It may have been as simple as their website had problems processing your credit card

i found out my AT flight was cancelled yesterday

spent over an hour on hold before i spoke to an agent

found out they put me a connecting flight, got it changed to NS

decided to change my paid seat assignments, got all the way to confirmation & got message to call AT, resulting in another long wait.

i was told they've been having ongoing problems with processing credit card payments online...but my seat assignments were already paid for via prior reservation.

I gave up and booked with Southwest. I literally started over w/ Airtran like 10 times and then finally thought I was done and they denied my card! Ah, no reason for that, even called my bank to make sure and they said there wasn't even any denials showing! I have never flown Airtran and after this I don't think I ever will!

Airtran is one airline I just will never fly. I had free tickets on Airtran and gave thme away.

They sucked when they were ValuJet and kept crashing and they still suck.

they did rebrand, the planes i've ridden on are in far better shape than SWs & the FAs topnotch.

It's just the incessant tweaking of the schedules that's the issue for me. IMO, they should take to releasing their schedule for fewer months @ a time akin to SW if they are going to compete as a budget carrier.

You mean your computer is also stuck for 41 minutes with an incomplete confirmation page showing on the screen?

Can you open up a third browser and see if your can see your reservation on line?

The problem with consumer on line reservations is that the computer does not claim the seats while you type in children's names and credit card numbers (and release the seats if you change your mind or your computer crashes). Whereas for travel agent on line reservations the computer does claim the seats (or at least used to).
