On Hold for 2 Hours Now!

Just thought I'd report in that I've been on hold for a whole two hours with DCL now! I guess things slowed down considerably shortly after 1:00, because I didn't get through until 1:35. I hope there's something left if I ever get through!

I'm on a travel agent number and I've been on hold for two hours now as well. This is for my own trip, thankfully and not a clients. I'm about to give up...........

Me too. But I hate to hang up for fear that my turn might be right around the corner. Unfortunately, all I've got to spare is another 1/2 hour. I'll just keep my fingers crossed!

When I finally got through about an hour ago (thought the battery on my phone was going to die before I ever got an answer) the DCL agent I spoke with said they had 190+ calls still waiting.

I held for an hour to book the FL to CA cruise. Since then I've been checking the DCL web site...it's letting me book anything..and not too slow. You might want to try it.

yea..i just tried going online and it seems to be working...a little sluggish sometimes..but you can get through...the prices have sure gone up in the past few hours though...my CAT 10 room is now $800 dollars more...

Thanks - just tried to book online again but I must be doing something wrong because only the Bahamian, Caribbean and Special cruise options come up - nothing for West Coast. Do you remember how you got to the West Coast option under Booking?

The West Coast is under the "Special Cruise" option

I waited on hold for well over an hour. Every 10 minutes I'd try the website. After a few close tries and more than many times of see the reservations were unavailble; I FINALLY was able to make my reservations for July 9th! I suggest that you try the web while you're waiting.

Okay, I was able to get the online booking for West Coast (thanks for the tips) but it looks like you can't book Cat. 2 or 3 online - does anyone know if that's true? The only options that come up are cat. 4 and higher.

Try the online reservation system. And if you get messages that say - "you have to start over" or "system down for maintainance", just use your back button and keep trying. It took me about 30 minutes to work through the online system, but I made it.

cat 1 - 3 have to be booked on the phone with DCL or your TA - and someone else reported on another thread that all cat 1, 2 and 3 are waitlilsted for ALL of the CA cruises.

Well, I guess that does it then. It's been 3 hours on hold, and we really need a Cat. 2 or 3. So, I guess it was worth a try and I need to hang up now! Thanks for the info.

yep, we put in a request for a category 1 a LOOONNNNGGG time ago and they haven't released them yet.

We're anxiously waiting by the phone, hoping that they will call the wait list soon!!!

And if we don't get it, then we stuck since all the other good rooms will be gone by tonight!

Here is what I Did just a few moments Ago.

Called Group reservation at 1 407 566 7010

waited a 5 minutes on hold and got threw and sales person was more than happy to help we now have a cat 11


for the Florida to Cal.... Repo cruise.... 3521.28 2 adults...

did this just in case dreams does not get me my Cat 10 on deck 5

cotomom....why don't you call DCL and put a room on hold until you find out if you got the Cat 1? Deposits aren't due until May 10th and are still only $250 pp.
