I was wondering what you would sell a kids play kitchen for. We originally bought it for $150 and it is in good condition. I was thinking $45 and selling it with food and pans. Would you sell it that way or sell the food and the pots and pans seperately? Also we have a kids blender, mixer, toaster, coffee maker that we use together. Would you sell it as a set or all seperate?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am a newbie here so take my opinion with a grain of salt lol. I have heard the general rule of thumb is about 20% of the original price so $30 is what I would probably ask if I were you. I would probably sell the other stuff separately and so I mean $30 for just the kitchen alone. Just my opinion! Hope that helps. :)

At a garage sale it doesn't really matter what you paid for it, it's more about just getting rid of stuff. :rotfl: I wouldn't go above $20 if it were me for the whole shebang. If you want more than that, you can list it on Craig's List.

It probably depends on your area a lot. I sold our play kitchen last year with all the dishes, mixer, pots, etc. for $75. Maybe price it at the higher price for the first hour and then mark it down if you need to. Good luck!

I got a large plastic play kitchen from our neighbor's sale for $8. So cheap that it stays outside on the deck and the kids play with it out there. It was one of the good name brands, maybe Little Tikes?

My suggestion is to list it on craigs list. Depending on the quality and condition you'd easily get $50-75. I have been listing a lot of gently used childrens things and have gotten great responce!

If it is in really good condition (stickers intact, parts all working, no writing on it etc) I think $45 with the extras would be a good price. Craigslist is a good suggestion to get more $. It seems over the last few years people are not willing to spend much for a garage sale item.

If it's Little Tikes and is great condition they can really hold their value. I'd also consider putting it on Craigslist before trying to sell at a yard sale. You should do a little investigating first to see what they are selling for on there, Ebay, etc.

Many years ago I bought one of those large Little Tikes playhouses (the large pink one with blue roof and the side that swings open). We had it for a very long time but it was always inside. I got it at Toys R us when they had some promo where you got a LT picnic table free. Paid like $249 for house plus free picnic table.

Years later (5-6 years) I sold the house for $225 and the picnic table for $30.
Both had gotten their fair share of use but were in great shape since they were always inside.

I also have one of those houses; another neighbor gave it to me for free. My kids are set on our deck! I don't think any are in stellar condition, so I'll probably pass along my good fortune to someone else when the kids outgrow them.
