this is susy- using my nephew's computer....

If I book the GF in Jan for Thanksgiving weekend (4 nights WED-SAT) at the rack rate, what happens if I am too late calling to get my AP rate ? Does this happen? I remember that the rooms were gone by mid- morning when the rates came out for VEt day weekend this year.In other words, if I call that morning to change my rack rate to AP will the CM tell me there is nothing available???

There are a limited number of rooms available to be booked using the AP discount. The rooms are booked on a first come, first served basis. If all the rooms are booked when you call, you cannot get the discount. You can keep trying (hoping that someone will cancel their reservation and you are lucky enough to be the first person to call after the cancellation) or you can resign yourself to paying rack rate. Of course, you can always cancel your reservation and book something else.

To sum it up, there is no guarantee that buying/owning an AP/PAP will result in a discounted room.
