We're going to check out of AKL in April, then transfer over to BCV. Two out of three of my boys will have two very busy long park days prior to check out. So my DH and middle son and I want to go over to the BCV together, but have our luggage transported by bell services that morning, is that the official word that we are checked out, or can my kids still sleep in till 10:30 or so, while we leave and go check in and head to Epcot? (they are older teens). thanks.

Once you are checked out, you are no longer in the room. If the boys want to sleep in, then you don't check out until they are up.

Last week, we checked out of OKW by 8:00 AM Tuesday morning, even though our flight wasn't until 8:30 PM. We packed up our luggage and went to the parks for the day.

Taking the luggage does not mean you are checked out. I would mention to the bellman that you are not checking out at that time.

Actually, I called member services this morning about something else and asked my question to her. She said they can sleep in after we give away our luggage, and that we have the room till 11:00 am either way. It doesn't matter if we give the luggage to BS or not. :thumbsup2

That's good, but I wonder how many times they will be disturbed by housekeeping? We usually call the front desk and let them know when we leave the room. I have occationally seen housekeeping move in right away!

I think in the end, our boys will wind up coming with us and not want to sleep in, but I want to give them the option if they want it. I also think I'll wind up putting the do not disturb sign out and hopefully I'll see a mousekeeper in the hall and let them know. I'm probably way over thinking this, and they'll come with us, but just in case.

I was afraid that you were going to ask if your teens could sleep in until 2!:lmao:
I was waiting for the flames!popcorn::

I hope you have a great vacation.:goodvibes

:rotfl: :rotfl: well, I think if I let my youngest DS15, he would sleep that late (well, noon anyway), but no I'd make sure they were out of there by 11:00.
