Hello everyone, these days I am a bit relieved from my office work and planning to make a trip to Ottawa with my family members. I have not yet told them about the plans, but just re-planning the whole thing so that I don’t leave a thing unseen. I would love to have some useful information on the facilities available there for a family stay. We are a 5 member family. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would make sure to do the Parliament Buildings and the Royal Canadian Mint (I really enjoyed that tour!)

Also make sure to stop for a Beaver Tail!

Enjoy your trip!

Hey ....I've been there a dozen times, love it. If you plan to do the museums, look into the museum passport. This will save you money!!!!

Quote "Canada’s Capital Museums Passport is the best way to explore Canadian culture, science, art, history, nature — and much more — in the Capital.

For $30 per individual or $75 per family, visit 9 uniquely Canadian museums in Ottawa–Gatineau at your own pace"

Works at:

Canada Agriculture Museum
Canada Aviation Museum
Canada Science and Technology Museum
Canadian Museum of Civilization
Canadian Museum of Nature
Canadian War Museum
Laurier House National Historic Site of Canada
National Gallery of Canada
Royal Canadian Mint
National Arts Centre

Canadian Museum of Civilization is a must!!!!!!

Ottawa is a great place to visit and you would really love to have your family there in the city. I was there with my friend, though the trip was for a corporate meeting, but did get some time to get a glimpse of the city and we just loved it. As for the staying part, I would recommend to have a look at the rental apartments in Ottawa to help you find a good one.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but the 1st post was from someone making their 1st ever post on a DIsney website asking about Ottawa....then just above another person pipes in, with thier first post, saying 'here check this website'.

I am thinking it is an attempt at free advertising.
why would someone make their first post on a DISNEY webiste ...about Ottawa?!?
