The only kind of dancing I'd ever do in front of people is a waltz or a cha-cha. That's all I remember from the dance class we took many years ago, and I'm maybe a 3.5.
Any kind of "free-form" dancing? I'm not even going to try, so I'm a big fat zero.
My favorite kind of dancing I've ever done was square dancing. That was some great exercise! I only wish someone would come out with a cool, non-hillbilly version of it that would become a popular form of exercise.
I do not swing. I do not sway.
I do not dance my blues away.
I do not twirl or strut my stuff.
I will head bang. That is enough.
The music does not move my feet.
I do not get up from my seat.
My hands do not rise in the air.
My butt does not twerk here or there.
I always pass up on the chance
to jump about. I do not dance.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate my dancing a zero. Never figured out how; never saw any reason to. At parties the women only want to dance with each other anyhow. In bunches, like some sort of religious rite. Men aren't necessary, and are pretty much just in the way.
Try googling "men don't dance" for an interesting afternoon.
I was voted "Best Dancer" my senior year in high school...and we all know that the who's who in high school is correct! Ha! (I was also voted teacher's pet)
Seriously--I danced my whole life, on the dance team in high school and college and have started teaching basic ballet/tap at a local studio. I pick up on dance pretty easily.
Technical dance 6 (ballet/jazz), Tap 2
Hip hop/club dancing 7-8
Having a few drinks while reminiscing with DH in our living room about how we met/danced in the club together in college and then dancing while listening to jams that were popular in the early 2000's--definitely a 10+
I'll join you sitting on the side watching since I'm about a 1 too. I have two left feet and was always told that I was leading but I didn't have a clue what that meant!
8. I love to dance and I'm good at it. I don't dance nearly as much as I used to because my knees are shot. I also hurt my back twerking a few months ago. I am 60; I should have known better.
