i called wdw today and the operator said there is 40% off the dining plan during my stay, but i couldnt use it because i go 10/18-10/26 and the offer is good for 10/21-11/07.first she said i could, then said i couldnt, does anyone know if it could be applied for the discount, if even for the 10/21-26? thanks!

I haven't heard of this special yet, but as with all specials and discounts your arrival date must be within the dates the special is offered... the only way you could take advantage of this special would be to book 2 separate reservations for your stay.

I think what the CM means is that you are eligible for the 40% off room rate that a lot of people have been getting. You dont get the 40% off the DDP, you get 40% off your room rate, and pay full price for the tickets and DDP. That's just my guess!

Actually, I got the code and my dates are Oct 24 - 29th

Also, I did not have a PIN attached to my name that I am aware of. I just called, gave the CM the code number and she was able to apply it. She did not say anything about me needing a PIN or having a PIN attached to my name. Of course, all of this occured while Disney was letting a lot of people book without a PIN, so I am sure that my being able to get this discount was a glitch!

So those dates do fall within the 40% off room code dates.

If you want to use it you could split your stay and do the nights of the 18th 19th and 20th at rack rate then the 21st 22 23 24th and 25th at the discount (if you can get availability). Unfortunately if you want the dining plan you would end up having to purchase two sets of tickts. You could though buy the full length you need with the first part of your stay and one day tickets with the second part of your stay, then save the one day tickets to upgrade on your next trip. We can help you with some number figuring if you give us more information. We have no idea your party size&age, hotel, room type etc.

I think that the thought is that the 40% off is actually off the room not the dining plan. Dining plan is advertised as saving you up to 40%. which with all the 40% code confusion as well as the cm's being so wonderfully trained i'm sure led to a bunch of miscommmunication. The dates the op was told the deal is available fall in line with the 40% room code.
