I am finally taking a 4 day weekend all by myself:cool1: I have wanted to do this for the longest time but life always got in the way. So I'm pretty sure I have narrowed my choices to either the Omni or The Peabody. I am looking for total relaxation, maybe some swimming, a nice dinner or 2 and some spa treatments. Now I realize that the Peabody does not have a Spa, but I could always drive over to the Gaylord. I am not looking to do any parks, shopping or sightseeing.

Thoughts? Oh and I am open to other deluxe off site properties too. The Ritz is sold out for my dates so that is out.

Two good choices. For the type of getaway you are talking about, I would choose Omni. Both are gorgeous hotels but the Omni has a better pool area (I had a great time floating around the lazy river), and the spa is onsite. If you are planning to visit the spa, why be forced to travel. The four days will go by quick enough without having to spend time driving to an off-site location.
The one advantage Peabody has is its location. While the two are about the same distance to Disney property (Peabody with a slight advantage), the Peabody is more centrally located to ALL attractions, shopping and restaurants. The Omni is out of the way, which can be a good thing.
Both offer excellent dining choices, but I think Omni offers more choices.

Have Fun

I'd choose the Peabody so you could have that decadent champagne brunch! (If you want a brunch partner, let me know!)

I like the location of the Peabody better as well, as it's so central.

I'm an Omni freak. We live an hour from the parks but still like to stay overnight to take advantage of early and late park arrivals to miss crowds. To me you can't get the luxury that you get at Omni for the price ANYWHERE. $159 for a luxury hotel with a good spa, killer workout facilities, 5 restaurants on property, amazing pools (one adult only pool, two hot tubs, another zero entry pool and a decent lazy river)...and if you become a member (free online) you get free beverage room service in the mornings. We like it because it is only 5 minutes off Disney property away from I Drive (IE OUT of the crowds) and if you get a good room, you won't see anything but empty vistas/golf course instead of tourist trap USA.

Just IMHO but as you can tell, I LOVE Omni.
:goodvibes

Will do, even if I don't stay there I would love to try the brunch.

I still have the same cell # as in NJ, so call me and we'll figure something out. It will be good to see you again!
