Sarah Palin's beliefs are 180 degrees from my personal views. Her views, in all honesty, appall me.

In all reality, her extremely conservative views are far enough right that her national political career is over.

I don't care what she knows or doesn't know.

She is not in my White House. Let's let her return to Alaska in peace.

If the republicans keep it up, I'll become an independant. They are saying the had to vet her too quickly? Give me a break!! McCain had a lot longer to choose a running mate than Obama did. McCain knew he was the republican nominee and surely to goodness he had been looking before then.

Keep it up, Republicans and McCain campaign people and you'll shoot yourselves in the foot.

No, she's not in the White House. But if I got one vibe from Sarah, it's that she's ambitious and she wants more. That's completely fine.....but I think that the leaking of these stories *by* the campaign *to* FOX NEWS of all networks is no coincidence.....no sir. Fox News is the conduit to the Conservative Base. They're sure as heck not watching any other station.

Listen to what they're saying.....now *they're* saying she didn't know that Africa was a continent. They're saying that she's difficult to work with....a diva.....not knowledgeable enough.

Make no mistake about it.....this is the RNC getting the message out that "Sarah isn't our girl" anymore.

lol on the agreeing with me. I'm sorry if I offended you....this election got a lot of us all fired up.

I'm actually pretty surprised that this happened so quickly. But I'm not surprised that it's happening. The Republican party has a big identity crisis right now. But I think that they've quickly figured out that Palin will absolutely rally the base, but she won't win the White House. Watch Romney......he's not done yet.

The Republican party is in a bit of a shambles right now. And I think that the country took a big step to the left yesterday. And while I see Obama as a tough guy to beat in four years (unless he *really* screws up). Let's face it....four years is a *long* time.

I mean, McCain was up by 10 points after choosing Palin. Look how quickly that all went downhill.

Still, you've got to feel for Palin. They didn't vet her properly, throw her into the spotlight and she was clearly unprepared. She still held up relatively well, and if nothing else, she's got a lot of spunk. But it amazed me how quickly she went from being likable and down-to-earth....to polarizing and divisive.

Well, I think that the reality is that the Base didn't really want McCain. The Conservative primary votes were split between Romney and Huckabee.....leaving McCain with the majority.

So you'd think that McCain would have chosen one of those two, but I think they feared pissing off either the Romney supporters or the Huckabee supporters. Then he was trailing in the polls and they decided to try and pull in the disgruntled women Hillary supporters.......and so Palin was brought in.

And he got more than he every wanted.

But I do think it's really quite sucky for the McCain campaign to be leaking all of this stuff *one* day after this thing is over. It's pretty crappy if you ask me.....and will likely rally the base even *more* behind her.

DVCgirl, I meant no offense to you. I think you do know your stuff. I just wasn't agreeing with you and that is fine, I can agree to disagree because I'm really not into politics.

I totally agree with what you are saying about them though. And for me, it is wrong. Wrong to trample another human being like that to further your cause and for me that is what they are doing.
It is not like I think she is the answer to anything but I think she is a nice and likeable person. Her spunk reminds me of Dolly Parton and people either love her or hate her. Being from around here, we like her . I just do not think she deserves to be treated this way. Politics or not, I feel it is wrong and it has me seething. I'll be damned if I sit here and keep quiet and not voice my opinion that I think it is wrong. I hope karma bites their butts. It'll be a cold day in heck before I forget this nice little move of theirs.
