Everybody should take a good look at a room that is on the top list right now. When i saw this, my jaw dropped and i froze. There is a room titled boys who like boys room. Vmk doesn't need this.

no it does not need it, but if they close that room then they are dead wrong. If they allow boy/girl taken, then they should allow this, anything else is prejudiced

Yes that would be prejudice, but that is why VMK needs to get rid of all these rooms.

I am watching a room on the top of the list named "Boys who like boys" Now I understand the delicate politically correct nature of a room like this but isnt this a perfect example of why taken should not be allowed at all? Would you as staff members feel comfortable with having to explain this to your young child that happens to be playing the game? What further upsets me is the fact that i sent a notice in game to staff and i received a warning not to harass other players. I was no where near the room and have no intention of going in but yet I get a warning when i bring it to the staffs attention? Come on now you stress family values and issue bans and warnings to those who don't follow the guidelines but yet you allow taken rooms to continue? It seems that a clear cut list of values that VMK uses would be most helpful to those of us that play and allow our children to play

The only way i will go in there, is if i will report the room. I'm not taking the chance.

Don't report the room: hatred and intolerance aren't VMK values.

I strongly disagree. If it offends you then by all means report it. Let the staff know if it upsets you

Oh i'm not trying to be bitter. I'm just really shocked at what VMK is becoming. Taken should have been stopped at the start but it wasn't. I am really mad at what taken is growing to.

First and foremost, I think it's kind of funny that THIS room is at the top with quite a wait to get in. Second, I think parents sometimes worry a little bit too much. Yes I understand the concern of older players and younger players possibly "meeting" in such a room, but the same rules apply to this situation that keep the talk clean between boys and girls. I know adults find this situation scary and worrisome, but most times children don't even think about it or bat an eye. In most cases they accept love as love.
Chances are, these are teenagers who are looking for the same thing we all want; love and acceptance. It's a part of life people! We all need it and search it out. This is just a safe environment for, in this case, "boys who like boys" to hang out and play their favorite game together. As long as there is "taken", kids are going to pair off. So don't panic. Love is love and we all deserve that feeling.
