OMG! Woman assaulted in "The Mummy" at US/IOA!

I'm sorry folks, I didn't mean to stir up a tempest. I merely posted this because it freaked me out, having been there a few months ago and having ridden this ride. I felt that people here, as well on the Community Board would want to know, since it pertained to one of the parks that we frequent. I'm interested in the outcome of this case, since it will affect all of us and how we view our safety in ANY theme park.

Last I heard was over a week ago; no new developments in the police investigation (that they have released).

Widely believed by whom? By the authorities investigating? By the general public? By people on the DIS Boards? Please cite your source; we here on the DIS and the public in general know little to nothing about the intricate details of a police investigation, but if the authorities believe it's a hoax, that's a horse of a different color.

Could not agree with you more, nice post.

Blinders. All the disney fans have blinders on. They'd rather insinuate that Universal had something to do with this, or that Universal was so terrible for having an accusation, but in truth they just dont want to see the place they hold so highly soiled and dirty.
I dont know which board it was on...maybe on Themeparkinsider.com but a lady was on the same ship that the rape happened on....they were stuck in Nassau for a long time and nothing was being said about why, only that "someone important" was coming in. She didnt hear anything about the incident until she was IN WDW and her friend called to make sure it wasnt her 14 yr old daughter who was the victim. After all, they had an event later the same night just for teens where they let the kids go back to the ship at 1 a.m. without supervision. But hey, Tigger slapped a kid and shouldnt lose his job.

This is pretty funny, considering it was you who insinuated that perhaps Disney had something to do with this attack. Who has the blinders on exactly?

In anycase, I hope they get to the bottom of this, and improve safety at all locations.
