I finally got a rate with Alamo for 11 days for $377 inclusive of taxes. This was for a Mini Van. Not too shabby
September 24 to October 5th

What codes did you use?

All (and BigTigger especially, since I see you are renting for 8 days just like me), my advice to you is to check the rates WITHOUT any codes. I had been pricing my 8-day rental at Dollar with every code I could find until, I tried it without any code at all. It took to the usual list of car sizes and their costs. Above the mid-size, there was a link to specials for my rental city (Orlando). I clicked it and I got a list of reduced rates for some of the car classes, including mid-size for a better price than any of the codes I tried. I got my 8-day mid-size rental (9/25-10/3) down to $189, inclusive of all taxes and fees. The weekly rate for this special is considerably cheaper than that- since my trip is 8 days, the extra day for a rental caused the price to be a bit higher.

and then used a Coupon for $20 off found at BJ's

The SUNPROMO code gave me $54.10 off my rental

They come out on Tuesdays, usually in the morning but not first thing.....mid morning. I am waiting for the week of Oct 13 myself.

I find that Alamo Hot Deals have about the same rate as the WalMart codes. So there really isn't much of a deal with the HotDeals. Just looks like at the last minute they open up the good WalMart, Entertainment, and Costco rates up to everyone.

Hi.

Just wanted to share my success this morning using I.D. "IG" (the last minute code) at Alamo. I got a Minivan at a rate of $199 for the week. It was around $260 with taxes.

It is painful to pay this much after the deals to be had in the past but it is better that the pre-tax rates of around $500 I've been seeing for vans!

For those of you want to have insurance included, use contract ID 3715761. This is a good discount code wtih full LDW insurance included. It also waives underage fee and extra fee.

What about code 3715761?. The 3715444 code mentioned is technically not a public code just but can be used by the public who are aware of it. Still no source for 3715761. That is truely more a suspect code.

I got a minivan through Enterprise from Oct 7th - 19th for $557 total. Thats the best I could find. Got it at CarRentals.com with no coupons.

Seems like they have changed how the discounts can be used at Alamo. I used to always be able to combine a couple but this time it is only letting me use 1. I am using the last minute specials but no luck adding a coupon to that.
