Keep trying to use your coupons with this last minute discount....sometimes it will take it. Also sometimes the Walmart code will give you the same discount as the last minute code and will also allow you to use a coupon....just keep trying until you leave. Good Luck!! I am waiting for the last minute rates starting on Oct 13 to be released next Tues and will try every which way to get my rate down.

we leave tomorrow, I put in a last minute bid on priceline for $10.00 a day for midsize and it was accepted. Total for 8 days from MCO, $149.00. I am pretty happy with that.

I got National. From what I understood on pricelines website, all of their cars are in the (MCO) airport.

That is true. In fact the National cars are also the Alamo cars.

Hertz is off property. I understand that is one of the companies Priceline uses. That's why I haven't tried bidding on Priceline. If Hertz isn't a possibility when bidding on Priceline for MCO, that would be helpful to know.

Actually, I just looked at mousesavers.com. It says Hertz does occasionally come up as the company on Priceline bids.

You need to decide if saving money is worth the extra hassle of taking a shuttle. It's not really a big deal for me especially if I can save a lot of money. I always pick up the car while my DH picks up the bags.

Well, we leave on Tuesday and nothing great is jumping out at me! My Thrifty price for the van was till the best price! Any new suggestions?

Nothing has gone down in price at all even with the last minute code (IG) and/or anything else!!! I have thought about using Priceline but really hate the thought of getting Budget or Dollar (I have gotten some really nasty cars from them). I also extended my trip by 5 days so now I will have the car for 13 days. Yeah, I know I don't "need" a car but a couple of days I will be there by myself(heaven!!) and might want to go to the store or Starbucks. And I promised a friend to pick her up at the airport. Anyone here use Priceline recently? What have you gotten?

I find that the IG code really isn't a great deal. It brings normal prices down to the level of what you would get from the Walmart, Entertainment, or Costco codes. This just opens up prices that most people don't know about or qualify for.

No codes, for Nov 12-22. I booked it through the Dollar website 4 weeks ago at $260 and now it's down to $210 for 11 days.

I had a couple codes for Hertz and National, but they weren't as cheap as just using Dollar directly.
