OMG...What Would YOU Do?

"in tack"

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

meaning she did not blow her head off!:scared1:
oh did I mention a very cute SINGLE guard for a very tough Mass jail lives right next door!
another HUGE selling point!:lmao:

I am taking it, free garage indoors, free storage, that is a 250 saving right there. These buildings are only 2 years old. and my apartment was brand new when I moved in, no one had lived here.

oh, and my Dad is going to help me pay for my Disney trip (they feel bad, I always get the crap end of the stick) the trip is in Aug before I go back to school!

so ok, I will have Laurie Cabot the witch of Salem Mass, come in and do a "cleansing" of the apartment!!

I think that would be intact. I have a dyslexic sister, you get used to translating. No biggie.

I would live there, no problem. As someone else mentioned, I lived in a 100+ year old home, you can almost guarantee someone died there some time. But I am pretty at peace about death and dying. It isn't something frightening and bad to me. Suicide is very sad, but it isn't contagious. :confused3

We were posting at the same time. I'm glad you decided to take it. It sounds like a great deal on a nice place to live. :)

I think the word you meant was "intact." It threw me off a bit when I was reading but managed to get your meaning from the context.

To answer your question--yep, I'd live there.

Now, on a house built over an old cemetary? No way! Never let it be said that I did not learn this lesson from Poltergeist. ;) That toy clown freaked me out.

I did not EVEN notice that till you all mentioned it! sorry, I have been a tad stressed today to say the least! lol
THE BODY WAS INTACT! huh...thank God I am going back to school! and talking Comp 2.

ok, so I am moving!:rolleyes1

I know it is hard to pick up and leave sometimes but what she discribes is crazy expensive!
normal to actually cheap compared to where I live. It is all relative

I would think she could afford to move if she is paying that much. I also realize it can be hard to leave family, I used to visit my folks once a week and now we visit once a month.
You missed the part about the OP going to school. You can't just up and move and transfer credits. Many times you lose some of the credits when you transfer.

Small town life is so much better.:thumbsup2

Not everybody is cut out to be small town people. I have relatives in Nebraska (Iowa border) and you couldn't get me to live there if I was given a mansion. Good for you that you love it and have found your perfect place. But not everybody would find it perfect. I would go completely stir crazy. I love the city way too much to seclude myself out small town America.

To answer the OP's question.

I would be signing the lease before they changed their minds.

I asked if the body was in tack, or did she blow her head off! I wanted to get RIGHT to the point!

I wouldn't worry about it. I'd move in.

But the word you're looking for is "intact" not "in tack" Yikes.

But not everyone wants to live in small town Iowa.

Does your $560 include taxes and insurance?

I'm not Doug or Lisa ;) but I live in small town Iowa and the monthly mortgage on our house is under $600 in includes property taxes and homeowners insurance we have a 2 story (plus basement and attic) with a double lot yard.

PS Small Town Iowa isn't that bad

read above!!:rotfl: :thumbsup2

Small town Iowa is great if you can find work there, but get real, the whole country can't move there. I currently own a town hose condo (2133 s/f) in a small town in NH, my property taxes just went up to 5500 per year. I also now live in AZ with the hopes of buying the house, if we ever sell ion NH, our mortgage should decrease by 1/2 and out taxes should be less the 1K per year. We live in a city now with probably fewer people. Town size hasn't a lot to do with costs. In NH we paid no income or sales tax, so everything is borne by real estate taxes.

I am glad some people can live with low rent or mortgages. But to suggest that everyone should do it is a tad far fetched.

ok, I live in a luxuary apartment complex. I am paying 1675 for a 2 bedroom and with leaving a job and going back to school, it is going to be VERY hard to pay for that.
In my complex they have what is called "affordable housing" which if you make under 65,000 a year you can get reduced rent. (that amount is like what????)
anyhoo. I got the offer to take a 1 bedroom, I will be going from a 1200 sq feet to 910. and I will pay 1058 a month.

NOW the thing...

I am out by the pool today and my friend in that building told me that a women committed suicide in there last week. She drank and took some pills, now I remember hearing this on the scanner. but did not realize it.

The thing about this apartment is it is in the most ultimate location! 5th floor over looking the pool, has a balcony twice the size of everyone elses. and the floor plan is AWESOME!!!
I was SO HAPPY to get this, until hearing what happned.

now I was completely freaked out when I first heard this....
I went into the office and asked if we can talk about this...they said they did not hear it was suicide, I asked if the body was in tack, or did she blow her head off! I wanted to get RIGHT to the point!
I have enough issues without ghostly spirits haunting me from beyond!

They said no, she was in tack, pills and booze I guess, They said they had a cleaning crew in cleaning, (bodily fluids) and I asked if they would put NEW Carpet in, she said YES OF COURSE.

I also bargained for free storage space which runs around 50 a month AND they gave me free INDOOR garage parking.

now what would YOU do knowing what had happened? would it bother you? I had only one other option and the other is way to small, and has no indoor parking or storage and no room for my stuff!

would YOU move in?

oh I would definitely do it...prime location, reduced rent which is HUGE anyway, new carpet, and free indoor garage parking and storage space...girl you would be wacko to turn that down...i mean what do you think is going to happen? is she going to come back and tell you to get out??? come on now

That would be a tad bit creepy but with that kind of deal, I think I could handle it:) Frankly, I would be more scared to live in a small town in Iowa...not my bag at all;)

I would not think twice. Now, if someone broke in and was murdered in there I might think twice but natural death or an overdose? Nah...

Are you going to keep your same AK themed bedroom? it was so pretty!!!

*I* would take the apartment, but that doesn't mean that you should unless you really come to terms with what happened there. It will be as creepy or as haunted or as bothersome as your psyche will allow it to be.

If you think it will bother you than it probably will. I don't believe that there's any reason that you shouldn't live there but whether or not you could be content there is entirely up to you.

I do feel sorry for that poor woman :(

the former owner of my house died in the room I'm in now.. I dont know how he died.. I know he was here for at least 2 days before they found him but nothing "funny" happens here. Would it bother me? I would have to say no :) Oh and I do believe in ghosts.. thankfully the former owner has decided not to visit us :rotfl:

Oh and my mortgage payment is less than 350$ a month 4bed/2bath with a yard :thumbsup2 Taxes are less than 400$ a year... ::yes::

Wow! Is that normal there?

Wow! Is that normal there?

around me? Yes. There isn't a house listed in my town over 150k and 400-500k homes in my area in Pa are unheard of. Jobs are Okay here most start at 14$ an hour we have ALOT of warehouses more are being built every year. Its an okay place to live, no to little crime, I don't lock my doors, I'm not afraid of my neighbors, my kids can go out to play alone.. Schools could be better but then again where couldn't they be?

I would take it and run.

With apartments, things happen all the time that you don't know about.

Don't sweat it at all.

The house we put an offer on (still working out the pesky inspection stuff ;) ) the first owner's wife died. I haven't had the guts to ask if she died in the house. My dh told me I could NOT ask! LOL! I really hope she didn't! Oh, this is small town Nebraska btw, and it is NOT CHEAP! We won't be far from the city though, thank God!!
