We always talked about going for our 25th anniversary but I never thought we really would. We leave for California on the 13th and Hawaii on the 16th. I hope it will be a relaxing vacation. We only have Pearl Harbor and a whale arching trip in Hawaii and Disneyland in California. Mil and FIL are coming so want to make it enjoyable for all of us.

Happy Anniversary & have a wonderful time! We went to Hawaii to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary in 1992, and really enjoyed it.

I am so jealous. We wanted to go for our 25 in 2014 but that is the year our daughter graduates HS so we are letting her and a friend use our points at WDW. Hopefully we will get there for our 30th. Have a great time. :cheer2:

We arrive on the 20th. Maybe we'll see you at the pool.:cool1: hope you have a great time!

We were on vacation in Oahu about six years ago. Stayed at the JW Marriott and looked at the same lagoon where they have built Aulani. It really is a gorgeous place:beach:. Pearl Harbor is such an emotional and humbling experience. We also did a whale watch..it was a massive boat and they served a massive buffet LOL. If you're renting a car, you can drive to the Polynesian Cultural Center, the Dole Plantation, and Turtle Bay Resort. We also went to a Luau which we really enjoyed. Have a wonderful time!:cool1:

My wife and I will be there apr 17-20 for our honeymoon. We took our families there last October, it's really amazing.

We took our first trip there all the way from the east coast...two flights and an insane number of hours in the air! But totally worth it. 1st trip was our 20th and we spent 2 weeks spread out in Oahu (Waikiki), Maui and Kauai. Best trip ever! We went again for our 25th and did a week in Kauai and 5 days on Oahu. Hopefully we'll make it again for our 30th.

My advice for a first trip is to research, research, research and plan accordingly. On our first trip I wanted to see museums and historical sites. My husband is a surfer and wanted to surf! I had a complete itinerary planned before we arrived. Everything worked smoothly and I have a great scrapbook of that trip with each day's itinerary with photos. We bicycled down the top of Haleakala before they changed the laws. Awesome memories.

Enjoy your trip! Go see the Black Pearl if you remember and have the time. That's the one thing I was sad about missing the times I visited Aulani, but we were too distracted by the resort itself and other stuff going on.

Enjoy the trip! We were there last year (Aulani), but miss it soooooo much! :thumbsup2
