OMG - We passed ROFR...Now what?!

I'm so excited.....We just got the call from Jaki that we passed ROFR for our SSR resale contract.....
She said I'd get more info in the next week, and I was too excited to ask any questions, soooo.....
For all of you who have 'been there, done that', WHAT comes next??
How long before I will be able to make a ressy? What happens in the next few weeks?

I don't know what the next step is since I'm not an owner (yet, hope to be one VERY soon though) but I did just want to say congrats on passing ROFR!

I was able to get my contract number real soon after the final closing. That was 11 years ago.

Congratulations! I bought my contract directly from Disney, so I don't have any advice, but I wanted to wish you well. Enjoy your membership and making that very special first ressie!!!

You will receive your closing documents in about a week. You need to sign and reurn everything along with your final payment check. then you wait to be notified that your contract has closed. Here is a copy of my purchase timeline:

Sept. 15- offer accepted on BWV contract
Sept. 16- contract sent to ROFR/ receive escrow documents
Sept. 19- signed docs and deposit check arrive at TTS
Sept. 23- notified that an escrow account has been opened
Sept. 30- Disney waives ROFR
Oct. 7- receive closing docs
Oct.10- signed docs and final check arrive at TTS
Oct. 16- receive notification that escrow has closed

Congrats! In 1-2 weeks you should get your closing paperwork. You'll send that in with your certified/cashier's check. Once you and the seller have returned the docs, there will be a quick "closing" and title co. will submit your info to Disney. Disney will set up your member account within 2 weeks. For us it was only 3 or 4 days! We made our first reservation right away by calling MS. Another 2 weeks or so and we received our member IDs from DVC. The only thing that you can't do very quickly is log on to the website (someone correct me if I'm wrong). You need your Club ID, which is not the same as your member number. I think you get this when you receive your recorded deed paperwork in the mail (another few weeks).

We are in the process of closing our third contract with Jaki. It is usually about a week after you pass ROFR that you will get an email from the title company. You fill it all out and send in your money to the title company. With us, it was over a week for the contracts to close, our sellers took a while getting their stuff back to the title company. With one contract, the points were available with Disney at 5 days, the other took over a week. If you have a foreign seller, you have more paperwork to fill out, and it takes longer for the sellers paperwork to get back to the title company. Just FYI, we had no contact from the title company during this whole process.

We actually got the email from the title company tonight and I'm heading to the bank in the AM so I can get everything back ASAP!
