OMG! Trading Le Cellier for Shula's or Yachtsman

I have to tell you- Your reviews of the new Le Cellier menu is what made me want to try the non-steak choices. Everything looked so great!
I'm glad you liked the review - it surprises me that most of the dinner feedback here has been so negative. I was amazed by the improvement since my last few lunches here.

That said, it sounds like Shula's is the place to go for a good steak. The menu looks very similar to Ruth's Chris, so I don't have a huge desire to go (filet is basically the only steak I like anyway - I prefer to stick with the non-steak choices). But I'm sure all the food there is good.

Funny- I don't like Ruth Chris.... I hope Shula's is better than that...

Maybe booking LCs for lunch is a good option. I'm going to check out the menu. I think that will allow us to try the new options.

ETA:Just checked lunch menu- none of the new thinkgs I'd like to try are listed on the Disney World website.... boo

So glad to hear we're not the only ones. One meal at Le Cellier - dh and I looked at each other and said "Really? This is what all the hype is about?? "

I honestly thought the same thing you did. As i took a spoonful of soup and a bite of bread, i thought "what the heck? Really?". I couldnt understand the the hype. But I held out hope for the steak....i so wanted to love the steak. But sadly, i didnt love it. I cant say i liked it either. I was very disapointed. I wont be back anytime soon.

It seems as fashionable to bash le Cellier nowadays as it was to praise it just a few months back. Personally, I've had both the old and new menus and loed it both times, but myself and my kids are all steak eaters.

Not me, I was and have been a Le Cellier basher when being a Le Cellier basher was not cool on the DIS and was considered blasphemy, almost worthy of being shunned. :goodvibes

In my opinion, as a huge steak lover, I thought it was a rather average experience at best. As for opinions, I guess they are like belly buttons and booty's, we all have one and they are all different. :lmao:
>>>OMG this post made me laugh sooo hard. bahahaha. Your hilarious!!! :lmao::rotfl2:
