OMG... this is so not right (The Office related)!!!

Yeah, last night's show fell short. I was confused about the whole Honeywell paper discount. I kept wondering why Meredith would need a discount on paper when she worked for a paper company. :lmao: :lmao: Then, the lightbulb went on and I understood the premise of the joke. A joke isn't funny when you have to figure it out to laugh at it.

Last night's episode wasn't great, but I felt it was better than the season opener.

I didn't understand either why Meredith would need a discount on paper. Maybe somebody can explain the joke to me :confused3

She was getting the discount for Dunder Mifflin and not for herself. That's why, at the end, she wasn't fired because corporate thought it was great that she was helping their bottom line.

I got that part. I took the whole thing as "Meredith was sleeping with this guy to get a discount for the company, but really because she's desperate and would sleep with anybody. Oh, and she got steak coupons."

There were a few funny parts, but I would say the episode was disappointing. Just wasn't that funny or interesting.

I did love Jim with the stopwatch though. Especially when he was egging Dwight on about Battlestar Galactica.

Ummmm Dunder Mifflin is a PAPER COMPANY!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

People thought Pam & Jim were already engaged!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Dunder Mifflin is a paper distributor, right? They don't manufacture the paper, they just sell it. Hammermill is the manufacturer. If that's right, needing the discount made sense to me.

I actually loved the episode. Jim and the stopwatch had me hysterical. Michael at the restaraunt trying to explain the "lock and key" setup was classic Office - the squirmy, uncomfortable trainwreck situations. It's been a while since we've had a good one of those. The BBC version of the Office was built on that stuff!

Gee I feel the exact opposite...one of the top ten episodes for me. Hilarious and uncomfortable to the extreme!

I thought it was a funny episode. I loved when Mchael told Dwight "you are a thief of fun".:lmao:

I love that Meredith keeps steak sauce in her minivan. I don't even want to know why.:scared1:

Yes, I love the stopwatch...and Battlestar Galacitca. That was classic!

We loved this episode, loved the Jim and Dwight part.:goodvibes But I miss Pam already. So whats up with her in real life? I know why she's gone on the show, but whats really up?

anyone know the answer to the above post?

I assume her absence is storyline dictated and temporary. I don't think anything is really up with her at all.

I know they were recently filming at a college in L.A. So I assume she will be on in the coming weeks.

she has a blog on myspace and talks about how she has finished filming a couple of new episodes, so i think she's just temporarily gone. it sounds like she'll be back in the next week or so, because she mentions the halloween episode on the blog.
