DD and I went to Epcot today. First thing we did we went to ride Test Track. When we got off the ride we were looking at the cars in the exit area. There was a person sitting behind a desk on a computer in there. As I walked up to her I asked Shelby, "Is that a real person or a robot?". Then the girl looks up at me and flips me the bird!!! I looked at her and said, "I saw what you did and I can not believe you just flipped me off!" I looked for a manager in the store, was told she was an employee of GM, not WDW. I went to guest services and filed a complaint. They put me on the phone with her supervisor, who appologized and agreed that it was unacceptable behavior. He told me he was sending her home.

They gave us a fast pass to any ride for our troubles. This was not how I wanted to start my day! :sad1:

Someone needs to spread some more pixie-dust around "The Happiest Place on Earth" pixiedust: pixiedust:

WoW! Someone must have been having a really bad day!! Sorry you had to start your day off like that, but hopefully that will never happen again! (or at least when we go lol)

I am surprised Disney lets any worker (theirs or not) to work there without going through the training that all Disney castmembers do, and enforce this on them. No reason anyone should be treated that way at a Disney Park by anyone working there

Operating Participants (what Disney calls people who work on property for one of the OTHER companies (ie: Basin, McDonald's, RFC, GM, etc) do not go through Traditions as Disney offers it's CM's. And that aside, just because a CM has been through Traditions, is by NO means a guarantee that they will not break said Traditions and be rude. On another note: Flipping off a guest is pretty much instant termination for any actual Disney CM once Disney hears about it and investigates.

Agreed that no Guest should be subjected to this kind of treatment.

The people in the car showcase at the end of TT are rude.

I was looking at the cars one time, and the guy pointed to me and when I walked past that desk, he muttered under his breath, "I'm watching you". >_<

Wow! Flipped off by ANYONE is rude enough, but to experience that on vacation, by someone who deals with the public FOR A LIVING??? Awful.
I did experience some rudeness by Disney Cast Members when I was at WDW in early December. Not quite as offensive, but while in line at the Tomorrowland restaurant (can't remember the name...chicken line, though. ;) ) the woman taking the orders was VERY rude. It was not crowded, yet she was waving people through as fast as she could, without even waiting for people to place their change back into wallets. She even sighed when people were too slow for her! Oh, btw..she was not a teenager, who you can sometimes expect a little rudeness, as they are inexperienced with working with lots of different cultures and personalities, this was an older woman, I would guess in her later 50's! Overall laziness was seen a lot there in the Magic Kingdom. It seemed as though that park had the worst employees, while the resort had the friendliest.

Nasty! That's completely uncalled for. A silly comment back would have been fine but not the bird.

I haven't had time to think about this much but it may make sense to write to GM about this to let them know the sort of advertizing they are doing at WDW. I'm not inclined to buy a GM car but this sort of experience makes me less inclined to buy one. If it had happened to me, I probably would have decided on the spot to never give my business to GM.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that employee will get fired. Though they will probably let her present her case first. I had some cousins that worked for Disney (in management), and when we would visit she would report someone just for not smiling fast enough. It would have been funny to watch her deal with someone that rude.

I've had rude employees before but never anything like that! Sorry about that lol!

I guess Disney needs to start pumping some happy gas into some areas of the park. :)

But I like to kill them with kindness. I would have responded "Oh the robot has an IQ of "1", since she can only count that high. Bummer."

**snicker**

I would love to be a witness to your response.

:rotfl: Now that is a great respond.

The restaraunt was Starlight Ray's Cafe (featuring Sunny Eclipse!)
