I have been pining away for this trip I wanted to take (to meet up with DH in FL) for three weeks. First I decided against it because of the high terror alert that just came out (that was the weekend of plastic and duct tape). Then after a few days and days, the price became the issue as it rose and rose... My dh said, "I am not charging a penny... if we don't have it, we don't have it..." 
(I was playing the future... tax return, etc...)
So, I have been so upset for the last two weeks. Finally, last Saturday night, I bet him that if I bowled a 150 (my average is 120) then I could go! I bowled a 123, 104 and a 161! 
So, we went home and looked and looked, but airfare had skyrocketed, and it was now a $2300 trip (started at $1200). So, no money, no go (at that price!).
Today he left for his meeting in FL. I pouted all morning and went grocery shopping. He calls at 11:30am and asks if I hate him. I said, no, I am just disappointed. I just really, really wanted you to surprise me with this trip. See, we used to be VERY spontaneous! One time, he flew me, Zak (then 3) and Ellie (then 8 mo) down to FL with 2 hours to spare!!
He said that his bonus check was more than he expected... the money is in the bank... use it! So I asked him if he was sure, and he said yep! I ended up having to book our return flight on Tuesday instead of Monday morning (to save $400) so my son will miss an extra day of school. But other than that, everything is booked... ASMusic (budget trip), Yourride, JetBlue, and a kennel here for my puppy dog... and we should come in between $1800-$1900... Not TOO obnoxious for a 7 day Disney trip!
Now, how do I tell the kids!
And how do I pack in just 4 days!! OMG!! I AM GOING TO BE WARM!!! and go to Disney! BUT BE WARM!!! SUN (with heat) here I come!!!
