OMG! just bought DVC!!! now what???

Quick question for you---we're going on a DCL cruise this year and are looking forward to attending the presentation. I've been researching the different promotions which are offered at the presentations and noticed that some ppl are getting an offer of cruise + $$ off per point. If you don't mind saying,

did your promotional 160 points for use come with any other offers?

yes they also offered $15 off per point if you bought 160-200 points. Hope that helps! WHich cruise are you going on?

. . . . . . . but now we have 320 points and I dont know the best way to use them! any advice from current DVC members to get the best vacation possible?

I wish we had 320 every year! that would be nice! now i just dont know where to go! i wasnt expecting all these points! should i borrow some from next year and do another cruise or take smaller trips throughout the year?

Wow extra points. I know we would make spreadsheets figuring every which way to use our points. But I'm pretty sure we would use the banked 160 this year and bank as much of the other 160 into next year, same year after year. That way when we really want a longer trip or even a cruise, we'll have extra points tucked away. Congrats again.

Do you plan to stay in the VGC? If not, you won't have a home resort advantage anywhere. So you'll have to wait until seven months out to make your reservation. Sometimes that may be too late to get what you really want.
