I am starting to second guess almost every decision I made during the planning of this wedding(except the disney part, of course). Maybe I'm thinking about everything way too much as the day gets closer, i don't know.
I'm doubting my strapless dress, I didn't lose the weight I wanted to and am worried about back fat & a double chin in my pics.
I had planned to have dinner at 1900 park fare after the ceremony, then last week I changed that to O'hana, and now I'm thinking that might be too casual.
As well as a dozen other little things, like maybe I should have a veil, I'm not sure if I really like my shoes, maybe I should have another hair trial.:scared1:
Is this normal?
Anyone have an opinion on O'hana?
I think I'm going to have a melt down before the month is up.
I need a vacation. :)

I know exactly how you feel, and I'm sure every other bride has been through the same thing-you are definitely not alone! This is one of the most stressful times you will deal with-between now and the wedding. It is completely normal. Just remember-you chose your dress, along with your shoes before you were completely stressed out, and you loved them initially. The main thing to keep in mind is that everything will work out wonderfully, and even though there may be a few mishaps on your wedding day(everybody has them), the most important thing is the ceremony itself, and the future you and your soon-to-be husband will have togegther. Everything will be fine, so relax, smile, and keep us informed of how you're doing!! :)

Aw It will be ok. Just maybe wear a shawl or something. I'm sure you will look beautiful. I have that same issue. I just had to let go and realize it will be ok.

I am plus sized and my dress is strapless. I'm not to fond of anything strapless, but DF wanted that style. I have let him have a tiny amount of input on some of the stuff... jeese, you would think this is his wedding too;) :lmao: And I decided that he is the one that is going to have to look at me in the dress, and if he likes it, then I'm happy with it. BUT, while I was at walmart last week, I found some material that is exactly the same color as my accent colors, so I am making me a shawl to wear over my arms. That way, we both win!

As for O'hana.. well, I've not decided between O'hana, 1900 Park Faire, or Chef Mickey's. I want something casual with characters. I don't want stuffy, I want fun! I highly doubt anyone else will be in either of those three places with their wedding dress on, so that will make it that much more fun!

This is your wedding day, have fun with it!! Don't stress too much!!:wizard:

You are going through what every other bride has gone through! At one point, I changed EVERYTHING! I even bought another dress!!! :confused3

Just know, things will work out beautifully. I know we put so much pressure on ourselves to have a perfect wedding - and especially "destination" brides. I felt like our family/friends were traveling so far to see our wedding, it HAS to be PERFECT!! I had to realize that people were traveling to see us get married, yes, but we could have done it anywhere and it would have been perfect. The only thing that mattered was that we were getting married...

So, take some time for yourself to relax. Have a manicure or a massage, it helps. Your wedding will be beautiful!

Wow I could have written that OP myself!
I'm getting married the month after you at Sea Breeze Point on April 27th!
I didn't want a strapless dress either but nothing else I tried on made me happy. I set out to lose 30lbs but I haven't lost a single one! I have no will power!!
The bridal salon gave me two tips because I am so hung up on that little pouch of arm fat around the armpit that we women have! I felt like the strapless dress made it show more! Anyway, they suggested to do a spray tan before the wedding and to wear a veil to distract from that. I think it worked! I went and tried the spray tan this week and it worked great! Originally I did not want a veil either but when I tried it on and draped it over my shoulders I felt more confident!
On top of all that just relax!

I have nothing to say except 4-27 is my bday so clearly the best day ever ;)

Thank you all soo much, I feel so much better knowing that I'm not the only one.
I'm sorry I haven't posted any response for a while. we have 4 teenagers living in our house so computer time is scarce, I've been checking but no time to post.
Anyway, I have decided to live with my decisions, I made them for a reason. I tried the veil idea but my dress is too casual so I'm going to just deal with it. I have back fat and DF doesn't care, so why should I?
I have scheduled another hair trial, but I want to have a loose, flowy style, maybe with a flower tucked in the side. That may draw the focus up to my hair.
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the support and information you guys have given me through out this whole experience.

I never could have done it without the help of everyone here.

Thanks so much,
Rhonda

don't worry! no one is going to notice back fat...lol It is your day and you will be beautiful! :goodvibes chin up!

speaking of chins...practice posing in front of the mirror. Find your best pose with no double chin (everyone has double chin, trust me, it's all about how you position your head), practice that, and remember that! :thumbsup2

...besides, there's always photoshop! we had these cute silhouette pics where I had double chin...photoshopped that right out! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

good luck and hugs to you...

I would guess that 99% of all brides are able to identify with what you are saying! I have almost thrown out my dress, my shoes, cancelled my order for my veil, I've gone through 3 different sets of jewellery and almost cancelled my cosmetologist :lmao:

I am sooooo worried that my dress makes my butt look the size of Florida. I went to Marks and Spencers (department store here in the UK) and bought THREE different kinds of "magic knickers" to make me look smaller! Yeah, like that is going to make me a size 10 overnight! :rotfl2:

Then my DF sensed I was losing my mind, gave me a big hug, stood behind me and said he likes the fact I'm all curvy, and after living together for 6 and a half years he knows my exact proportions pretty damn well :rotfl:

Don't worry about it. I am thinking that whatever happens I am going to enjoy the day no matter where I eat, what I wear or who else comes. So long as DF turns up and looks me deep in the eye and says he loves me then nothing else matters :cloud9:

Relax - it will all be fine.

Its how you carry yourself & your positive self image that you want to shine

My coworker is heavy (maybe a size 22??)but she has the greatest most positive attitude & she never says anything about her weight....she dresses great & in turn ,,,,Ive never heard anyone comment on her weight & she has a great attitude & her personality shines...so you dont even think twice about her booty;) !

I admire her..shes a good role model for some of us

As for the other details.....when in life have we not second guessed something, especially if it was something big....its human nature.

I look back at my wedding & think, "boy I wish I could have done that", but then I think, "It sure was awesome he it turned out"

Try to think of the positives & no matter what happens it will be fun & memorable:hug:

We had our rehersal dinner at Ohanas and everyone raved about it. It is an amazing location. In fact at our reception at the Living Seas was also relaxed we had a steel drum band. Not all receptions are the same, relaxed is a great way to go.

Have an amazing day.
