OMG I'm Going in AUGUST!!!!!

We have a vacation set for 12/10/06 thru 12/16/06 for MVMCP. Today we got a "DING" rate from Southwest airlines for $73.00 each way from SAT to MCO. We added a rental car as we always do cuz we like to explore Orlando and surrounding areas too. The rate on the minivan was sickening too....WAY below what you'd expect. This was part of the Southwest airlines air/car package. We also had the PIN code for $59 a night for travel from 8/1/06 to 9/30/06. We ended up calling reservations and got a preferred room at POP for 5 nights for $71 a night. WOW

So it looks like we'll be going twice to WDW this year which is awesome. I can't wait and it's SOOOOO close.

Oops, i forgot to mention i did that too. I gotta ressie at Contemporary (forgot name of the place) for character dinner and Liberty Tavern lunch ressie. Woohoo! There are others, but i'm too excited to remember what they were. LOL

It's a real fun place to eat at. We did it last December and the turkey dinner was excellent. There is some real nice historic memorabilia there, however when i start to admire it i start thinking "am i getting a refresher course in history while on vacation?"

You definetly need to eat there and get the Pilgrims Feast...that's the large family sized turkey dinner with all of the trimmings. Bring your appetite cuz it's a big platter. For smaller families, they have the individual sized plates which are just as tasty and which we enjoyed thoroughly. Afterwards the plate looked as clean as when it was still sitting on the shelf waiting to be used.

I had no prob giving a $1000 down payment on my upcomming vaca. over the phone when I made the reservation.

I may upgrade to CSR for $128 more than POP preferred. The email PIN code i received in mid July also works for Moderates, even though the email says it's for Value's only.

I may also change to SoG if my SIL can get a room there. We'd prefer SoG for the larger Queen sized beds. Those are always best when the baby sleeps with you and sticks her little toes in your side at night.

Things keep getting better and better everyday. I just upgraded from POP to AKL @ $130 a night.

The only downer is that we already reserved SoG so most likely we're going to have to do a split stay.

I just found out I may be going to WDW in AUGUST too...are we nuts or what? I had a SEpt 4-11 ressie for the free dining. And then I was invited to a shuttle launch scheduled for August 28...so if i go to that, I'm sure not coming home and then turning around and going back!!!!

So....if we fly in on the 26th, then my friend and her son will have the joy of 1 day or 1.5 days at the World. Hot with crowds. Not sure how I will make it fun for them, but I'll do my best. Luckily, I have a pass...so for me, it is no big deal.
