OMG - I'm back and booked!!!

OK - long time, no type!!! But I've just booked on Qantas on 30 November for 2 and a bit weeks in LA + Disneyland!!!!

We miss Thanksgiving, and we're going to see Christmas.

DD doesn't know yet, only DH and all my Disboard friends. Ooh, and Minnie the Wonderdog, but she doesn't understand.

Time to make a new ticker!

Thanks all - believe it or not we have no plans yet! Just the flights. And Christmas at DL.

I'm not sure when we will let DD now 10 know, or just let her figure it out! I suggested to DH that we let her know in the morning after Easter Bunny excitement settles down But DH wants to leave it a bit.

DD does know that we've been seriously talking about it, but perhaps 50/50. So she asked if we could let her know the day we go, but somehow I think DD would easily work it out before - this is the same child that is closely following the pseudo election campaign and counting the days of her own accord!

We've decided to keep it as a real surprise right now from DD. She has asked that we don't tell her until the day we leave (she doesn't know if we're going) , and given the plane leaves at 3pm I'm sure I could have her pack in the morning

We don't even know what we're doing once we're there. We thinking of popping up to NY for a week mid trip. DH said today "we've made it to the west coast and we'll work it out closer to going." This is full on for me who is the type A in the house!!

We will just miss banging into each other in Disney again, I'm sure we just missed in Sept 2011 lol! We are in NY, but from the 15th. And at DL too but from the 22nd! (December)

Sooo exciting, and what an awesome surprise for DD (if Minnie the wonderdog doesn't give up the secret that is ha ha!!!)

Because DD doesn't know a thing I can only look / plan / think when she's in bed, at lunch at work, etc. So last night while I was waiting for one of her after school activites I pulled out the ipad and "researched" away. Long story short I didn't close my browsing session down properly, and DD was iPading whilst I spoke with her instructor after. With glimmer in her eyes DD says "Mummy, you had a New York hotel... why?" My reply, "a friend from work asked me to check out the hotel she is staying at." DD most dispointed "oh..." Now my guilt is coming out!

Last night, I played Bluff with my nephews and nieces. They all thought that I "lied" really really well. I had to tell them that "Bluffing" is not the same as "lying". The body language and guilty feeling is different when you're bluffing.

Personally, I think you're bluffing DD myself.
