I think part of my problem if I jsut dont know what to get her... Its just been terrible.. I think I am going to take Wednesday off of work to try and figure it all out... I was able to finish everyone except one person on my list.. but I really want to make my DDs Christmas amazing... :)

Don't stress. About 1/3 of the American people are in the same shoes as you.

I had a lot of trouble this I got a lot done yessterday though so I am feeling a lot better. I am usually done by Thanksgiving but not this year. It gets harder and harder as the kids get older (and less and less Budget Friendly!) I only have one believer (and one is on the fence.) I too wanted a wow gift for her since my years of wowing her with Santa surprises are limited, and I got it yesterday. My DH went with me and we found a 4 ft gumball machine. She loves to get gumballs at the mall and stores. So we got it, it holds XL gumballs, then he had the idea to buy a bunch of Squinkies (yeah, they are junk , but what can I say, we fell for it) and he measured and they are the same size of the gumballs so he is going to mix the gumballs and the Squinkies and put them all in tha machine. We had it in the cart and a little girl about DD8's age said "woa!!! Look at that gumball machine!!!" DH said "you were looking for a wow, you got a woa, good enough?" I said yep, good enough!

You can do it, you will do it, you have to do it! Good Luck!!!

I wish I would have waited! I am finding a lot better deals this week than I found the weeks before!

Don't stress! You'll find lots of bargains!!

I am in the same boat.

DS 16 and DS 11.

The 16 year old broke his neck this year and has a paralyzed hand, so my usual fallback of video games won't fly. Not too many games are great one-handed.

Oh my goodness! I know it's off topic but I'm so sorry to hear this...

Oh my goodness, how awful. I am so sorry. I am sure you are counting your blessings this Christmas and are a reminder to all of us to do so as well. Merry Christmas to your family.

Back to the OP< you will find some amazing deals having waited so long. I returned a camera for DD16 toWalmart last night. When asked why, it was $40 cheaper on Amazon. I said sorry, but that is a lot of $$!!! Then the Squinkies I ws talking about that we bought. They were originally $20 a pack and last night were marked down to $5 a pack. I had not bought them yet so I was able to get 5 packs for $25 and got 96 of those little buggers. Not all are going to go to my DD, will put come away for later or gifts, but a few weeks ago they were a LOT more.

My kids keep saying they want money. I bought them a few things and will write a check for the rest. I wanted to buy them all a few other items, but after spending quite a few hours shopping nothing out there excited me. I am glad my kids are older and I dont have to stress about this.

I only need to pick up a few "even out" gifts now. I have a basket for each kid, and some ended up more full than others... oops!

But I did the majority of my shopping the past few days. I think I scored some nice deals by waiting. I'm sure you will too OP. :thumbsup2

That gum ball machine sounds great MickeyMom!

Video games are definitely a great gift for teen boys. So sorry that's not an option for your DS Dashzap. Does he have an iTouch? Lots of games can be played one handed, plus there's always new music to download. I've found itunes cards tend to be much appreciated by the teen set as well.
Hugs to your DS and to you too.

I find it's easiest to shop online with a friend. We sit down next to each other with our laptops and each others' lists and look for ideas for the other person. It's amazing how someone else can "find" things you wouldn't think to look for.
