I completely agree!
I was so lucky to be born and raised just a few miles from Disneyland and have the great pleasure to spend the first 40 years of my life practically living there. It holds many fond memories for me and I miss it terribly.
I thank god every day for Walt and his magnificent vision of Disneyland and I am so glad he did not let anything deter him in the building of The Happiest Place On Earth. I am now living in FL and am lucky to have WDW as my playground, yet nothing matches the original Disneyland nor my great love and affection for it.

That was wonderful. My whole family just gathered and watched a you tube clip of Everest. My DD5 was very disturbed by the Yeti and kept asking us questions about the Yeti. I call them over again to watch your clip. As we are watching, my girl is still having flashbacks to the Yetti. During the description of Disneyland she says "Is he going to destroy Disney World?!!!" We tell her "no". Then as the music builds we are all getting weepy she says "I hate Yettis"
