We've been so busy at work for the past two weeks between projects for the department and seven to ten runs a day. I haven't had a full nights sleep at work and I felt it coming on yesterday. I now have it full blown, I was going to try and make it today but just checked, fever is 102:sick: and I can't get warm.
Called my battalion chief to take my sick day and he told me I was the third guy to call in he told me take as much time as I need.
He's a top notch boss. I'm going back to bed now.
Good night.

Oh, do I ever feel for you. I've been sick since last Wednesday :crazy2: , and only this morning is it starting to let up. My fever broke last night with TONS of sweating, and this morning is the first morning in several days I woke up NOT feeling like I'd been run over.

I hope it's a short one for you, and you get back on your feet soon!

Get plenty of rest and fluids... hope you feel better soon. :grouphug:

There's a lot of sickness going around right now and it stinks. I just got over a horrible sore throat/sinus/etc. virus and I'm still sniffling. A lot of people seem to be sick this month.

I hope you feel better soon. Get a lot of rest and drink plenty of water.

I hope you feel better soon. There's been a lot going around here, that's for certain.
I was sick last week for three-four days and I finally started really getting over it yesterday. Of course, DS comes home sick from school on Friday and I'm just praying he's better by like Weds or Thurs so he doesn't miss the Valentine's Day party at school on Friday.

:firefight :wave2: Please take care of yourself. Hope you're back on your feet soon, but if not, take the time needed to heal!

I'm right there with ya! Unfortunately, my 92 year-old Mom has a really rotten cold too. I don't think she's had the fever, but the antibiotic did a real number on her stomach. The cough - it's just not letting up!

Sleep is the best medicine (when you can get it without coughing!)

My family has been battling a bug the past several weeks; it starts with a headache and fever, then turns into a head cold, then the coughing begins. (I just hit the coughing stage last night, just in time for bed.)

It's really weird that these bugs seem to hang on for weeks instead of days! Hope you are back on your feet again soon. :flower3:

And you're right, that is one cool boss! :thumbsup2

I've got the same thing and its been going on for about 5 days now -- it doesn't seem to be getting better. I'm just as tired and achy as I was in the beginning!!

I hate when DH travels for work this time of year. All that recycled air in the planes. :scared: Today he left for his 3rd weeklong trip in the past 3 weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes home with a little germy something for Valentines Day. yuck.

Take care everyone, get better, and stay home away from us healthy people. ;)

I'm on my 4th day of being sick and today I feel o.k. I still get that bad cough that makes your eyes water and makes you want to gag. I'm blessed that I'm a SAHM and can get plenty of rest. The kids are sick too, so they also takes naps which helps. My DD's 4 and 6 were out of school all last week and I got it on Wednesday night with a fever (102) and into Thursday. Friday was when the cold kicked in.

DH hasn't gotten sick yet. He's been eating spicey foods and taking his vitamin C and getting plenty of rest. I've been going around the house daily wiping off door handles, phones, and faucets with distenfecting wipes to help keep germs at bay.

It's a real doozy one going around that's for sure. A lot of my Dd's teachers say that volunteers are not able to go in and help her.

I've been sick for a week and a half. I just went to the doctor today and I have a bad case of bronchitis and I'm waiting for the results of the strep test. My doctor told me that my throat was "gross". That's never a good sign :rotfl2:

Yeah, I am just getting over it, still hav ea little bit of a cough at times. but at least I fele normal again. Mine started out as a Viral Infeciton, then within 2 days became a Bacterial Infection. At least it wasn't the flu. It took almost a week for my fever to break and that was a bad night.
