Omg!!! Go White Sox!!!

GOOD MORNING, WHITE SOX FANS!!! :dancer:

What a great game!!! But, man, I am tired this morining. ( Happy, but tired :cheer2: )

WOOOOHOOOO How about that game last night!!!!! Unbelievable!!!

Tonight though I am gunna watch what I eat after 14 innings and all that junk food

Oh and by the way did anyone see the AOL home page last night talking about how"strange" it was that the calls seemed to be going the WS way????

It was gone this morning and I didn't read it last night but how low. I don't think anyone can say anything but that that was true win last night!!! :cool1:

What a game!!!!!! My DD played for the pee-wee White Sox this year and made it all the way to the "World Series" and won, so she assures me that the "real" White Sox will do the same!

It was Bud Selig's fault! The roof should have been closed!!!

Just kidding. Congratulations to the White Sox and all of their fans. A very impressive sweep in the world series against my Astros. The Sox played better and deserved to win. I must say that each game was very exciting and even though my team came up short, I enjoyed the series for the most part. Have fun partying in the Windy City.

Does anyone have any word on a parade? I need to know where it get in line so I can drive my bandwagon in it

Is anyone celebrating? I was going to watch but the press is so quiet about this series.

Congratulations to the White Sox for an impressive win.

Good, I'm glad that you're having fun up there.

It just seemed like with the Red Sox win, that's all we heard. We must have a bunch of transplanted New Englanders in the Dallas area.

The White Sox are starting to look like the Red Sox of 2004 -----A team of destiny!.
CONGRATS White Sox fans......great feeling hey?!!

I've heard maybe Monday or Tuesday for a parade. I'm hoping there will be something about it on the news tonite. I know the Sox will be getting into Midway today at 3:30pm and the kiddos want to head over there after school to try to catch a glimpse. I think that will be better than trying to get downtown for a parade on Monday or Tuesday, especially with their school schedules.

I just called 311 - my conversation with the "lovely" woman who answered the phone is as follows:

me: Hello, do you have any information about the Chicago White Sox parade.

lovely woman: yes

me: oh, when will it be?

lovely woman: Friday

me: do you know what time?

lovely woman: noon

me: is there a location yet?

lovely woman: Chicago [hangs up phone]

I hope she is wrong - I'd really like it on the weekend, so the kids come

I was just listening to ESPN radio and they also said Friday. For some reason most cities do it like that. In the past ten years Houston has had seven championship parades. Two NBA, four WNBA, and a combined AHL and College World Series parade (since both happened within a few days of each other). All were on weekdays.

Grog - I'm not quite sure how to read your post.....are you bragging about all your other championships and at the same time slamming Chicago? We've had our share of championships here too, Bears, Bulls,Wolves and oh yea....the White Sox, so I am familiar with the parade process. I understand that it would be chaotic for a weekend celebration.

And just where was he slamming Chicago? He mentioned that Houston (a place where he lives so he obviously knows what parades they had) ALSO had their championship parades on WEEKDAYS just like Chicago is planning. :confused3 :confused3

Take it easy. I don't think it was meant that way. She just stating how Texas did their parades.

Thanks Big Dude and MUFFYCAT. That's exactly what I meant. Just trying to point out that that's the way it's done in most cities.

Congratulations to the Chicago White Sox!!!! :cool1:

I just heard on the news that the celebration is supposed to happen on Friday beginning at 11, some sort of parade thru the South Side.

WHITE SOX, WORLD CHAMPS!!! :cool1:
