Saw this today on the news:


FRUITA, Colo. - If a Western Slope woman is to be believed, vampires may be lurking in Colorado's Grand Valley.

The woman claims she spotted a vampire in the middle of a dirt road near Fruita, Colo. Sunday night. She told Colorado State Troopers she was startled by the undead being, threw her SUV into reverse, and crashed into a canal.

She was not injured.

State Troopers say the woman's husband arrived at the scene and took her home. The vampire, which was not seen by anyone else, apparently let her get away.

Troopers do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be factors in the crash.

You know what?

I did enjoy the Twilight books and the first two movies were okay...but no way would you catch me fighting a mob of screaming teenagers to catch a midnight showing. My pregnant rear would have fallen asleep half way throught the movie . I'll wait a couple of weeks and catch a matinee if I want to see it...

Even I, a Twilight fan, is tired of the Eclipse stuff...

I really don't get all the hype, either. One of DD's friends is going to see it tomorrow morning with her mom- they asked if we want to go with them. I would be OK with seeing it, but DD absolutely does NOT want to go. She is not at all into romantic or vampire books/movies, and thinks all the girls at school who are such diehard Twi-heads are silly (she just finished 6th grade). So, I think we will pass, even though it would be fun to do something with the friend and her mom.

Maybe we'll just meet them for lunch after the movie...

I have to say that I have no idea about Twilight and had to look up why Vampires sparkle LOL today when I heard it. I came across some GREAT shirts when I was searching online for the Sparkle reference though.

1) Team YAY! Bella jumped off a cliff.

So bored by the stories about how tired people are because they HAD to go to the midnight movie. I'd have been tellin' my child, NO! and taking them in the daylight or maybe the twilight. My one friend said, 'I'm so tired, I only got 4 hours of sleep last night.' I said, 'I guess you made a bad choice.' No sympathy. Cold, I know.

Especially on the DIS where part of the Universal thread is fans crazy about the new Harry Potter themed section LMBO, that would be like DIS suicide.

Oh and for the record....I'm a Harry Potter fan Maybe that's why I never got in to Twilight....I can only handle one obsession at a time LOL
