Olympus Camera Charger Question...

I cannot find the charger for my camera. The last time I saw it was when I was in the hospital after I had Lucas. It could be anywhere now.

So, I went to the Olympus website and the charger I need is out of stock. I really want a charger ... I keep wanting to take pictures of my kid and I can't!

So, there are the obviously non-Olympus cheapo chargers on EBay. Is there any reason to be wary of these? My DH wants me to wait it out and hope we find the charger soon. He's afraid those cheapie chargers will hurt the battery.

Anyone know? TIA.

Can you be more specific about which model and charger you have?

Personally, I wouldn't be without the ability to shoot pictures of my baby for even an hour, something would have to give.

I faced the same problem and couldn't find my charger.

I went to the camera store and bought a Quantaray digital charger for 30 dollars. They make different chargers for different brands of cameras, so make sure you get the one for Olympus. Just check the back of the packaging to be sure you have the right one. Also if you call the store make sure you tell them the type battery you have. It will be marked on the battery.

It has adapters to charge the following Olypus batteries:

BLM1
LI-10B
LI-12B
LI-40B
LI-50B

What store would have something like that?

After Circuit City went out we have a big hole in that department.

I've tried Radio Shack and they've been utterly useless in the past.. but I could try them again I guess.

I looked it up.. I think I need the LI-40 one.

It's for an FE340.

Look for a camera store. Do you have a wolf camera or ritz camera around you. Also try Best buy too.

Might be an outside chance Walmart would have it.

Also Wolf camera and Ritz camera (owned by same guy) have websites you can order from. I believe they do not charge sales tax.

Thanks, I'll check out those website.

We don't have Best Buy and our Ritz camera disapperaed YEARS ago.

It's the only camera store I've ever known to be in the area.

Look online as well. Try Amazon. If you can't find it there, google the name of the charger you want, but stick with reputable companies. Good luck.

Although the stores are closed, a company did buy CircuitCity.com and that website is still open. You may want to try there also.

I would suck it up and order another one - I've had great luck ordering from adorama.com - quick shipping (and free for everything I've bought so far) - and no sales tax (unless you live in NJ I guess!).
