I'm not all that surprised since we just had the winter Olympics. I'm more interested in FIFA's World Cup decision for 2018 and 2022 than the Olympics personally. I'm thinking England for 2018 and the U.S. for 2022. Here's to hoping.

Personally I am happy with it. Last thing, I feel we need, is to be footing the bill for the Olympics. I know others will talk about how it would drive the economy for the city, but that is not always the case.

I couldn't be happier. Chicago, with all of its crime, transportation issues, etc. was not the place for the Olympics.

I'm thrilled that Rio won. South America has never hosted the Olympic Games. It's about time they got their chance, and I'm guessing Rio will put on a spectacular show!

I agree that isn't a political comment, but the mods are a bit quick with the lock button sometimes. The mention of a politician is not in itself political.
