Olympics Break Dancing - lovin' it

Tons of criticism this morning of cultural-appropriation by the non-black dancers (all over the news this morning). I imagine we won't see this even again and the IOC will just quietly pretend it never happened. :upsidedow

Somehow the NBA and NHL players make it work. What's different about baseball? Or maybe it's time to give the team sports back to true amateur athletes instead of the professionals who are multi, multi million-dollar assets to their corporations?
Agree with both comments.

But not alive and kicking enough for the Olympics to bring it back.
Somehow I expect it to survive just as “newly popular” sports such as cricket and lacrosse make their Olympic appearance.
Maybe water polo ( yes, but but I remember playing that at the ol’ water hole!) will make room for the newbies.

The alleged baseball issue is kind of a shrug. It's likely they will work it out. But if some of the pros can't or won't play there are lots of others who would jump at the chance. College World Series followed by the Olympics? There would be plenty of D1 athletes saying count me in.

Agreed! I had a high school acquaintance that played on the Olympic team in Barcelona. He was playing D1 college ball at the time and would eventually go pro, but I know the Olympics was a real highlight for him and his teammates.
