Tommorrow at 12:29 my DD will be running the torch in Renfrew, Ontario. She is so excited. Almost as much as leaving for Disney on the 19th. Unfortunately, she wrote her accounting exam this morning and is doing her final economics on line assignment tonight. The Prof only let them know yesterday that it was due tomorrow night at eleven and I don't think she will be in any mood to do homework tomorrow night. She just corrected me that she is excited but can't wait to go to Disney on Saturday. Seven more sleeps and we are on the road.

That is so exciting! In the relay and going at the end of the week. Hope its warmer there then here!

I ran the Olympic Flame in Grand Pre Nova Scotia .... it was an Amazing Feeling! CTV has a web caste of this ...

Good fun for your daughter, and her proud Mama! Ted that's awesome. One of our students will run in the Owen Sound area during the holidays, I believe.

DD (18) sang with her current choir at the Halifax ceremony, will return home and sing with her sister and her former choir here in London-Christmas Eve!

Did she sing at the ceremony in the Grand Parade? That was insane - I've never seen it that crowded.

My husband carried it when it was in Halifax as well (earlier in the day) - it was very exciting! Here's a tip - families are welcome at the torch bearer briefing at their collection point. It was a great photo op!

We are back in Ottawa after a most amazing day. DD ran/walked her 300 metres with the biggest smile on her face. It wasIsnowing big fluffy flakes and the weather was not too cold. Several friends drove through the storm to be there and I think that was almost as heartwarming as being the bearer. I am glad that she ran in Renfrew and not here in Ottawa since the crowd was smaller and it was more friendly and relaxed. There were only 13torchbearers. It was a slow drive home in the snow. Driving the new Sante Fe was interesting even with snow tires. We are not quite used to how the car reacts. Glad to have had the snow experience before we leave on Saturday in case the roads are bad in NY and PA.
